cm07
Wondering in case it rains, can you still enjoy the pool deck? Any part of it that is covered ? Traveling on navigator of the Seas. Thanks.
tiny260
There is an area around the outside of the pool deck that is covered, cm07
spursfreak21
I just got off Enchantment and we went through some high winds and choppy seas due to Hurricane/TS Barry and one day all the outside was closed. Including pool decks and sides of the ship. WAAAYTOOO and FManke
FManke
Are the outdoor pools still open if it rains, as long as there is no thunder and lightning? Haven't experienced this yet on a cruise. Now I've gone and jinxed us!
marti314
The ships will typically do everything they can to maneuver around storms so long as it doesn't affect their ability to make the port times. With that being said a lot of times with the ship moving at 22 knots and the storms moving at about the same speed (so long as they arent in the same direction) the storms usually pass by rather quickly. ScooterScott22
We were in port and doing the flow rider once while rain showers were happening. No lightening and it was just light rain so it didn’t impact anything.
FManke
Maybe if it's raining, I'll get lucky enough to get a deck chair by the pool! Unless somebody is saving them with rain ponchos. mom2mybugs, whenismynextcruise, Ken23 and 2 others
mom2mybugs
I have decided this question will not be important to me again ever! It will never ever ever rain nonstop on my cruise again (says Jane who spent 4 very cloudy days and a whole soggy sea day on majesty). That being said, I know the deck is open if the winds aren't too strong but I haven't paid attention to the pools. Jane
Matt
Some areas of the pool deck are covered, most notably some hot tubs. And as long as there isnt lightning, the pools remain open.
