We've booked our first cruise and we're staying on the navigator of the seas in a junior suite.

My question is the travel agent said that we get priority boarding with the junior suite and if I remember correctly he said we can board as early as 11am and hang out in a private lounge but I'm not sure what that means. Can any of you guys advise?

Also has anyone purchased "the key?"

I was also trying to do a virtual tour of the room because the travel agent mentioned that we're located in the front of the ship which can cause increased sea sickness. But I was also trying to view the balcony. Is there a way to see my room/deck assignment on Royal Caribbean?

Any other advise is greatly appreciated.

Navigator of the seas deck plans: http://www.royalcaribbeanincentives.com/ship/navigator-of-the-seas/deck-plan/. You will be able to see what’s on each deck by looking at rack of the individual decks just buy clicking the down arrow under ‘select deck’.

Navigator of the seas staterooms: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/mobile/stateroom-details.php?ship=Navigator-of-the-Seas&cat=Junior Suite. That website has a very accurate picture off all the staterooms.

When the ship is available for boarding, RCI uses a priority system, and suite people will have priority over others (we are diamond), but sometimes the difference between segments is just a few minutes.  The type of departure lounge depends upon the port, but it may just be a roped off area in the large, warehouse-like room.

There are other posts about the Key, for which the most valuable perk is the wifi, but other things like storage for carry-on luggage day 1 may appeal to you.

Here's the URL  to the video which you can cut and paste into your browser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z9-6aFBUBU

The cost is in the $20-$30 per person per day range, which isn't worthwhile for me, as I don't use the wifi.  Others love it.

Royal's FAQ site is down for maintenance right now.

Like @ChessE4stated, there is usually very little time in between boarding the priority categories and general boarding. This of course does have a lot to do with the amount of people that are there for boarding at 11am.

We were lucky enough to get boarding group 1 on our first cruise and only boarded about 10min after they started priority boarding.

Happy cruising!

One advantage of the Key on Navigator is the priority for water slides.  Navigator gives out a wrist band for the Key which basically allows you to push ahead of the line for the water slides.  The slides lines can get quite long.  I haven't heard this perk on other ships but it is on Navigator.

This might be worth it alone for those with kids or just the young at heart. It's equivalent to a fast pass in an amusement park.

You should be going out of Terminal A in Miami which has a separate area for Suite passengers upstairs.  You will get sent to an elevator on the right instead of up the escalator with everyone else.  If you arrive before boarding begins you can wait there.  It's just a large area with huge glass windows and padded seating to wait to board.  If boarding has already begun you will be let immediately onto the ship.

From FAQ royal site.  There s a comparison of suite classes also.  If your agent meant you have access to Concierge lounge it is not a ticked item on the chart.

All suites in the Royal Caribbean Suites program have access to a dedicated check-in line for boarding, in-suite Mr. Coffee/Tea service, personalized service from a suite attendant, and a luxurious Cappuccino Pillow Top mattress. Our Junior Suites, Grand Suites, Ocean View/ Panoramic (No Balcony) Suites, and Owner’s Suites all receive priority boarding, and our Royal Suite and Villa Suite guests are escorted onboard by an officer.
