Marmaduke
Hello, we are embarking on our first cruise in a few months time. SO excited, but having a last minute panic (will no doubt have a few more of these as the cruise date approaches). I have read somewhere about staterooms located towards the aft of the ship to have trouble with noise from the engines. We are on Indy, Deck 7, stateroom 7668. Do you think we may experience engine noise in this location? I am having a panic and wondering if I should see if I can move rooms. thanks all
L454S
Have had an aft balcony on Indy for a Transatlantic 14 days and never noticed any engine noise. Marmaduke
RoyalGreek
No, you will be fine. You won’t hear a thing. What ship? Marmaduke
AshleyDillo
It's not really noise per se, but you can feel the shaking considerably more at the aft of the ship. It isn't noisy by any means and I don't see a reason to switch staterooms. RWDW1204 and Marmaduke 1

monctonguy
No...not an issue. Only time I was aware of noise from my cabin was on my very first cruise and I could hear the anchor drop as my cabin was on like deck 2 at the very front of Monarch of the Seas......other than that never noticed that kind of noise. We have had engine/kitchen/casino noises only occasionally in lower decks and typically smaller ships. The main noise issue that all guests face is the closing of doors to nearby rooms. It's best if you don't slam doors out of consideration for others who are sleeping. Every once and awhile a neighbor isn't so considerate... Fuzzywuzzy
I have never been bothered by engine noise on any ship anywhere, and on a variety of decks. Enjoy!! Marmaduke
