Been watching comedian Jim David for 20 years. Haven't seen him in a while but he has always been hilarious. Should be great shows.

Well... will say that was some show. At tonight's show we discussed new ship names and ping pong balls...

So, we slept wonderfully last night and did not wake up until about 10:15am. Hubby and D12 are still in bed. D10 and I wandered into the WJ as everything else was already done for breakfast. Awful place! We walked in and walked right back out. Told D10 that I could not do it. Pure madness in there!

We wandered down to the Esplanade to grab some milk and pound cake. That was breakfast.

Currently wandered into a napkin folding class while we wait for 270 to open for lunch.

Still no sign of Hubby and D12. 😳

This afternoon we have a meet up at 1pm and the bar crawl at 2:30pm. I am sure some scopes will follow...

Suggest trying the cafe outside of the 270 for breakfast. Was never really crowded there when we sailed back in June . Good breakfast sandwiches , lots of fresh fruit and pastries too.

So when I said "has always been hilarious"  should have I just said "has been"?

Tonight we wrapped it up with the late night show with Jim David. Funny guy. He had a hilarious idea for what to name the next Royal Caribbean ship...😆

Heading to bed now as we have an early start to the day tomorrow. We are in Bermuda and we have the Island tour booked. Probably won’t be updating much tomorrow until I get back.

Oh, good. @CGTLH's post sounded to me like it wasn't. Hey, I know my comedians!

It was funny definitely. Intro might have seemed a bit out dated.

Sure @Matt's daily recap brief upon it.

@Lovetocruise2002 are you in agreement of what the next Quantum/Plus should be per what was discussed at show?

@mom2mybugs...chocolate bar AND chocolate cake. Darn good thing sugar, fat and calories don't count on vacation!

No...but oh man trying to take off the chocolate and drink poundage that counted on land before going back on vacation.... Argh......  The struggle is real lol!   Jane

Definitely a big step down from the suites waiting area at Terminal A in Miami. Hopefully they take that design concept to the other terminals.

I guess the best improvement will be not to need any waiting area  ...

Yeah, that is our favorite place for breakfast on anthem too.  Last cruise we went there almost every morning.

Sometimes they don’t leave the breakfast sandwiches in the panini press long enough, so they aren’t quite warm enough in the center. But the quiet atmosphere and the view of the wake from 270 makes up for it.

Ya know, I was really disappointed in the SC area when we went ... Think the SC area down in FTL was just a little better.  Oh well - guess I should get to involved with it as we were only there maybe 10 minutes before Yen came and got us  😎

Tonight’s CK dinner features one of my personal favourites...the Valrhona Chocolate Bar ❤️

All other items are the same as Night 2 on my previous Anthem blog (see link in signature below or on Pg. 1 of this blog).

Hubby also got the Mascarpone Cheesecake. It was slightly strange tasting.

That chocolate bar looks amazing 😍

Gotta be honest, Cafe Two70 breakfast was underwhelming for me. No variety from day to day, and I like having an omelette or other eggs with breakfast most mornings when I'm on vacation. Might try getting an omelette in WJ and then bringing it to Two70 next time.

Day 3 - Bermuda

Today marked our first time in Bermuda.  Seeing that we have never visited the island before, we opted out of a beach excursion and decided to book a mini bus tour of the entire island.

This tour is available through the cruise line or Viator. We opted to go with the cruise line directly. The cost was $89pp (Lowest at Black Friday) and it was well worth it. At 5 hours in length, the tour brings you literally around the entire island. Stops included Hamilton, St. George’s, and Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse.

We lucked out in that our tour guide was very talkative, informative, and as he put it, “does not sugar coat anything”. I knew it would be a great tour as soon as he made that comment as I am the same way.

Our tour did not feel particularly rushed. He even had time to let us get off at St. John’s beach for a bit (that was unplanned).

We learned a lot about Bermuda today, the history of the island and their way of life in current day.  I would most definitely recommend this to anyone visiting for the first time. It truly gives you a comprehensive, overall feel for the island. If we are fortunate to return, we now know which places we would want to focus in on.

Attaching some pics from our day.

Our lunch stop today was in St. George’s.  There are several little shops and bakeries in that area. We ended up at a local sandwich shop called Temptations. Great little place and friendly service.

Did the same exact tour, think same price also. Also for the same exact reason, first time to Bermuda.

In the hunt for a Jenga set, at the Hamilton stop I stumbled upon a toy store. There I discovered the $32.95 Jenga set. There stayed a $32.95 Jenga set.
