Liquor Store vs Liquor Gift Package

Recommended Posts

They will have a shop on board that sells liquor but anything purchased there is for you to take home when you leave the ship.  They will not give the bottle to you until the last evening.  The prices are very reasonable at the liquor store, often cheaper per mL than on land especially when you consider you don't pay sales tax.

The liquor gift packages are very overpriced.  The bottle is small, so if you are interested make sure you understand exactly how much you're getting.  You may just decide it's easier to purchase your drinks at the bar.

Liquor purchased in the duty free shops on board will be held until the end of the cruise.  It is not for consumption on the ship.

Pre-purchased liquor packages are typically 375ml bottles and much higher cost compared to the 750ml or 1l bottles one normally associates with a bottle of booze.
