CraniumDrain
What has been others experience on how far out from sail date they had their bid accepted? It seems most people don’t find out until within a week of sail date. i know it can be “at any time” per the program, but curious if some had it accepted much further out from sail date. dodgestang
The only thing really consistent is that you will get your rejection 24 hours before sailing GlowTheWeird and LoveDOS 1

mikebarr
The one time my bid was accepted I found out 4 days before the cruise. The time my bid was not accepted I found out at 6:00 the night before the cruise.
AHAT
I initially booked a spacious balcony that departs in August. I received my Royal up bid request for a Grand Suite on June 18th. I submitted it the same day and received an acceptance of my bid the following day . It's a surprise for my son's 16th birthday and my nephew is coming along too, so the extra room will be welcome. BunnyHutt
We sail on Majesty 7/3. Got acceptance email on 6/19... so 14 days out? Coincidentally, it was also the last day Cuba cruisers could cancel for full refund so I suspect we benefited from that. MidwestIA
My last RoyalUp bid was accepted 18 days before sailing, Feb 2019. I am hoping I get another acceptance before we sail on the Ovation on Sept 13th!
mworkman
So far I've managed to get my rejection letter the day of the cruise...I haven't seen an accepted letter yet. Most of the cruises i've taken to this day, the suites generally sell out way before i receive my e-doc's. My cruise to New England/Canada has been sold out for a month now...i sail 17 Sept 2020 for that cruise. Serenade and Allure in Dec & Jan are sold out of Suites. AnnetteJackson
I have been on cruises where people got their upgrades the day of the cruise and others that were accepted the day after putting them in. I think if you do the Royal Up offer the best way to think on it is it might happen and it might not, but be flexible and keep watching your email because you never know when Christmas might arrive! fonemanbob
We sail on Anthem Sept.12. It has been sold out for weeks. Just got a 6th Royal Up Bid yesterday. Go figure. And were not biting either.
Miller Lite
Less than 48 hours for me, Junior Suite to a Crown Loft on Allure. I'm guessing someone cancelled. Neesa, KristiZ and JasonL 1

Ship is completely booked solid, maybe someone will cancel again lol ChrisK2793
FManke
For those of you who have "won" bids, can you give us some idea of what your winning bid was compared to your original fare? Did you bid the minimum? Thanks
MidwestIA
I bid very close to the minimum, but not the minimum dollar. In total, I spent $1800 for my husband and I to have an unobstructed balcony on the Liberty after the RoyalUp was accepted. We originally booked an inside cabin for <$1500. I felt it was a pretty good deal as even with our C&A discount, the balcony was over $2K when we booked.

ChrisK2793
Just curious, if you do get RoyalUp from a Sky Class to a Star Class Suite 24 hours before your cruise, can you still cancel your DBP and/or your UDP and get a refund since both are included in Star Class? We bid $250 (I believe the minimum was $150) for the junior suite about 6 weeks before the cruise and it was accepted within 24 hours. We got deck 10 JS Aft with a monster balcony for $500 more than our oceanview balcony, which if i remember correctly was slightly more than $1600. Cruisebride926
We booked an obstructed view balcony on Anthem for a little over $1600 for the two of us. We won our bid for a spacious ocean view with a balcony yesterday which was exactly a month before sailing. Minimum was $130 and we bid $160.
