CruisinForABruisin
Does anybody know if the minimum bids for RoyalUp ever drop? The lowest you can go for a JR suite is sitting at 400/pp for our Cuba (I'm still in denial that we're going to Costa maya) cruise in 2 weeks. I imagine people have been cancelling, so I was wondering if the bid prices would drop.

Are any of the Jr suites on majesty for more than 2 people? Jane
dodgestang
I would say......no. It is my belief the 'royal up' program is a 'snap shot' taken in time. For my April cruise I bid on a room upgrade, a bid that was not the max bid. After several weeks the max bid you could enter for a room was what my bid was (aka they lowered the max), but starting was still the same. For my current cruise, I HAD bid on a room upgrade, but because I had asked the casino to about the room when I initially booked, they called me direct and I simply upgraded into the room the old fashion way. However, until yesterday my 'bid for upgrade' still showed active in the system (so I cancelled it) and even today I can open up the Royal Up interface, it will pull in my old room and ask me to bid for an upgrade....telling the upgrade program is NOT making an active database call....and if it isn't making a database call....it certainly isn't going to logic built in to automagically change min bids based on changing availability like you are thinking. Miller Lite
I won a bid on Allure for next week. If anyone else ever won a bid do you know when the luggage tags get updated because mine still have my old room. Can I just write on a blank piece of paper the new room? Junior Suite is nice on Majesty in my opinion but I'm not sure about 3 people. They are hard to come by because only the top floor with balcony has them. mom2mybugs

The porters can do the luggage tags for you at the port if yours don't get updated in time. Miller Lite

Yes they will be updated within a day or so... but you can always wait til you get to the cruise port and have them put the tags on for you.
