So I have an ocean view guarantee on majesty that I chose not to royal up...the cruise was already pricey. They sent me another royal up reminder last week. I’m now 10 days from sailing. I assume my guarantee won’t change for awhile as royal tries to figure this mess out. I looked and the new fares if you just booked are not cheap....only about 300 less than I spent originally so I think people might avoid booking. I think many may also take the refund and bolt. So what I’m wondering is that if the ship isn’t full...and I think it might not be in a week...would they upgrade me potentially without a royal up bid? Or will they just leave those pricier rooms empty? I have no idea what’s available and I’m just speculating killing time til they freaking assign me to a room!! (And yes...the guarantee thing is killing the planner in me lol!). I know that since royal up there has been very little random free upgrades. What does everyone think? And has anyone not known their guarantee room upon getting to the port? I’m thinking assigning rooms is the low priority right now. She is going to have a great time with her sister and you. Yes, upgrades can happened at this time. By Monday, they should have more information. I hope you are upgraded to a suite.
