tolkienfan43
Heading on FOTS in a few weeks out of San Juan and have heard it can be “challenging” to find the right location to drop off your luggage at the Pan American pier as part of embarkation. Any directions on where to go and how to make this process easier would be much appreciated. Thx Jeff
Rene Desmarais
When came back from FOTS out of San Yuan. No issues nor challenges at all. very easy.. once you arrive at the port, there's a large group of individuals waiting to take your luggage. then point you in the right direction to start the embarkation process. tiny260
I was there October of last year and don't remember it being a challenge. Find a porter, tip them a few bucks and let them handle your bags. Just make sure you already have your luggage tags attached. twangster
How will you be arriving to the cruise terminal? No challenge really unless you didn't know about it and ask your driver or cab to take you to the Old San Juan pier. It was like any other drop off and check in experience. I suppose if you have never cruised before there may be some unknowns but if you have ever cruised before from any port it's pretty much the same process. SPS
The luggage drop off area will actually be pretty easy to find. You'll see the luggage porters, luggage racks, and luggage waiting to be loaded toward the western part of the pier area. Please keep in mind that your taxi may be directed by port personnel to drop you off at the Disney Cruise area in the eastern part of the pier. (At least this is what happened to us.) This would require you to walk yourselves to the RCCL area. (Don't fret, though, it's pretty close) For what it's worth, the embarkation process in San Juan is, by, far, the quickest we have experienced. From Taxi dropoff>walk to luggage dropoff>check-in>boarding took less than 15 minutes!!! tolkienfan43
