Is distilled water available aboard and is the an electrical outlet near the head of the bed?  (Explorer of the Seas)

I was on Adventure ( Explorer sister ship) and even after the refurb there was no outlet near the bed. Royal will provide you with an extension cord and distilled water. Fill out this form and they will be in your cabin when you get there. You can email them at:     special_needs@rccl.com

Worst case scenario would be to ask your cabin steward for them when you arrive.

Also, bring some tape to hold down the extension cord as to not trip on it (or ask cabin steward to do it..they are VERY accommodating).

Happy sailing.

Only the newer ships have outlets near the bed.  They've yet to retrofit outlets due to the effort involved with running new circuits and wiring.  It could be done but for the tens of millions involved so far they have decided to put that money into new features in public areas.

If you fill out the form @Skid linked to they will take care of what you need. The distilled water is a gallon jug of it and if it's a longer cruise, they call your stateroom at some point to check and make sure that you don't need additional water. In the event that you fill out the form and the water/cord aren't in your room when it opens on the first day just make sure to mention it to your stateroom attendant and they will take care of it.
