Prime casino cruise question

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to know if anybody has any idea how it would work if we scheduled a prime cruise, my husband is the prime member, and at the last minute he would b unable to sail or no show.  We have the prime cruise scheduled and paid for already for the two of us and my grandchild.   He works offshore and there is always the possibility he gets stuck and can’t get in.   If that happens, my grandchild and I would still want to go....how would that work if he was a no show...would they still let the rest of us cruise?

I have asked this question before and I was told the other people would not be allowed to go because the cruise is free based on the fact that they except the person who won it to gamble on that cruise. Now Club Royale is known to give a million different answers and not always be correct so its basically a big gamble and maybe they will let you on and maybe they won't. I know this isn't a good answer but I would hate for you to go all the way to the cruise to be turned away.

Lol....that would be a sight...me and the grandchild getting dragged off the ship!   I don’t know if it’s marked somehow when we check in if it’s a prime cruise...if it is, then they probably wouldn’t let us on....we have other cruises booked, so he will b gambling for sure but if he can’t make this cruise they may either not let us checkin or possibly, charge us the full price and we would have to pay the difference?   Hope he makes it but if he doesn’t, my grandchild will be so disappointed if we can’t go.

Truly, I have no idea about this one !

I think I would probably go with the Constantino scenario although I would be concerned that they may not allow you to check in without the Prime member present.  They structure the Prime comps so that it’s nearly impossible to make any changes after it is booked b/c they require that you pay the entire balance at the time it’s booked.  In my heart I fear that if your husband doesn’t go, nobody goes AND his annual comp Cruise is forfeited.  But I don’t know the real answer. I am speculating

Let’s hope you never have to find out !  Best of luck

Yeah when I talked to Club Royale about it Was told if I wasn't there but my roommate was they would charge the roommate right then and there the cost for the cruise.. Now you and I both know answers vary based on who you are talking to but I would be too nervous to risk it.

Thanks to all.   Like the idea of him using my sail card and we will probably do that in th future!  Not sure what to do..lots of time between now and then so I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens...if they would still let us on, it might b worth just paying the difference...hubby would just have to use his gambling money to cover it since he won’t be there!

Casinos (land and sea) work on front end and back end comps.  Front end are based on previous play and are to get you in the door.  Back end are based on your current play and are designed to reward you for your recent play.  Front end comps are never transferrable.  I am certain that if the awardee of the PRIME cruise could not sail, you would be on the hook for the market value of the cruise.
