ZinzMat
Sorry if this is a repeat question, I tried to search but didn't see an answer. We'll be 2 adults and a 1 year old visiting St. Maarten, and would like to get over to Marigot for a bit. Without a carseat is this doable without booking a full excursion? Thanks! DunkelBierJay
I would do some checking with the cab companies first to see if you can pre-arrange a cab with a car seat. Another option is to rent a car and specify a car seat. Car rental options are right there at the port.
Matt
I'm a parent of two kids and I can tell you from first hand experience, car seats essentially aren't a thing in most Caribbean ports. When it comes to booking excursions, it doesn't even cross my mind. With our kids, they either sit on our lap or we strap them in with a regular seat belt. It's not ideal by US standards, but then again, when I was a kid that was more than my folks ever did!
