Bean79
I received a $50 OBC for my cruise in Sept. I now see they are offering a $65 OBC for the same room. Can you get the extra 15$ especially if I have already spent it on a drink package? Is this something that the rest of you would do? Thanks. ericgoodwin
You can have them reprice your room but often obc increase means the discount rate you paid for the room probably isn’t as good. Need to do the math to make sure it’s really a net gain for you
Matt
If you booked with a travel agent (or really anyone not directly RC), you need to have them re-price the cruise for you. If you booked with RC directly, call RC to reprice. Like @ericgoodwin said, make sure the change in cruise fare does not offset the OBC savings. The reason is you are essentially rebooking and subject to today's discounts/specials.
Bean79
Thanks for the info. I think I will keep it as is. I don't think it's worth the aggravation to save $
monctonguy
I can assure it wont be a better deal..the extra in $15 in OBC would prob cost you $200 or more to rebook......
fonemanbob
The beauty of having a travel agent gets us an extra $50 O.B.C. and a bottle of wine and a specialty dinner. All of that is in addition to R.C. on board credit. If you don`t have a T.A. then get one. No cost to you. And a good T.A. at a reputable company is so beneficial. If you booked thru royal just get a T.A. and transfer the reservation over. FManke
FManke
I would think the reason they increased the obc is an incentive to try and sell remaining cabins. As stated above, I'm sure the price has increased since you booked and the obc difference would not offset your new cost.
Bean79
The price of the cruise is still the same. I booked through vacationstogo.com, I'll ask them about it when I make my final payment. I just figured it was more trouble than it was worth.
