Casino Rates and Travel Agents

Recommended Posts

So far I’ve booked both of my Club Royale involved sailings through their phone agents, who have been less than useful and seem to have a lack of understanding how their partner program with MGM Mlife works. In frustration I transferred my 2020 Oasis sailing over to Costco last night (2 percent back on travel that one trip pays for the membership), but can a travel agent initiate a casino booking? Hopefully @AnnetteJackson is lurking in the forums.

I am sure you will hear from others that MEI travel, who hosts this board, are quite adept at dealing with club royale. Most travel agents are not. Personally, i have never used ten but u may start to...because it’s getting more and more frustrating

I personally am a travel agent and club Royale player and I find dealing with club Royale INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT. I almost cringe every time I have to call them. I am not trying to be prejudice but ever since they implemented this call center in Jamaica it is so frustrating. The other day when I called I wanted to use my summer sizzle offer and I wanted to DOWNGRADE my cabin for a few different reasons well no they would not let me do this and they wouldn't budge. I said do you realize how this makes no sense. I want a cabin that is worth less than what you are offering. I even said ok charge me $50 for this cabin. Nope they just wouldn't do it. It drove me crazy. I had to wait for a supervisor to call me back and Finally I got someone who understood and did it for me. So Maybe MEI is more important than me? I don't know lol but I seem to have the same trouble as everyone else lol

I use Michelle Cunningham (MEI) and she is excellent with the casino bookings. That is not to say that she hasn’t had her share of difficulties.  I know she has but she has made some “special friends” who easier to deal with than others and always comes through for me.

I cannot say whether Michelle has experience with MLife.  I think that is another set of worries all on its own.

Morning!

Travel Agents can call in to the Casino Line to start the process so you dont have to do that.  I know a lot of people like to get their reservation set up on their own and then transfer it, but the time holding to get a GOOD call center agent to help.  We can use your C and A number or you name and address for them to find you and then - we are off and running getting a quote for you!

OH!... sorry to post twice....

But on the Mlife - I know that several of my Agents actually play the Mlife games as well.  We say we started playing in the name of research!  ?   So i have several agents that know how to use those certificates.

I cant speak to other Travel Agents and what they can do for you, but our team of agents work together to keep us all in the loop and help to educate those that are not as familiar.

I need to figure out "some special friends" of my own lol. I am a new travel agent and even dealing with them for me is so frustrating.

Thanks Annette. Mine wouldn’t be the MyVEGAS games. I have Mlife gold status from my donations to their land casinos, which gets 125OBC per sailing and some other benefits (priority embark, etc..)

OH... trust me... we have some of those researching agents as well!  ?  I have a couple of them that do a quarterly run to Vegas yearly.

I hear ya.  It took Michelle a REALLY long time to find 1 or 2 that would really work HARD with her.  She now has the direct line numbers for those agents and I believe she deals exclusively with them.  It has made all the difference.  A number of weeks ago, she repriced an ALREADY FREE (but upgraded to an Owner's Suite) cruise that we are taking on Liberty in August and not only did she get the price reduced AGAIN and refunded us over $300 but she also managed to get $125 OBC on it too !  I have NO idea how she did that.  I have NEVER received any OBC with a comp casino cruise but I didn't argue.

Thats awesome. I actually have got OBC from a free cruise before but again it depended on the agent who was working with me. I am glad to know there are still some good people at Club Royale its just so hard to find them.

In just a few minutes today was able to call Costco travel and have them bring the booking into their system, change our room number (one with a bigger balcony opened up), reprice the cruise as the rate had fallen, and confirm our executive benefits, 2% back and a $475 Costco cash card. So much more pleasant than dealing with the outsourced weekend call center.
