Passport AND Birth Certificate?

Recommended Posts

Do we really need to bring a passport AND a birth certificate as identification? As difficult as it is to get a passport (and the fact that you need to provide a birth certificate in order to get one), I would think that would be enough. I just don't like having to worry about birth certificates being lost or damaged during the trip, because it is such a hassle getting a replacement.

What about for children? Do we need birth certificates for them if they don't have drivers licenses?

Don't know about children. As soon as I posted that, I got to wondering when we have ever had to have another form of ID in addition to the passport, and could not think of one. So forget that. I haven't had any coffee yet. ? Have a terrific time!
