Jan Berger
We are sailing on Majesty of the Sea on a 4 night cruise. The dinner seatings are either 5:30 (too early) or 8:00 (too late). If we choose the 5:30 seating but arrive at 6:30 would that be ok? We are a party of eight.
ama537621
No, they need to turn the dining room for the late dining time. I would ask for My time Dining. Then you can make reservations for which time suits you schedule. KristiZ, SpeedNoodles and Vee2525
Mljstr
Absolutely NO for arriving an hour late to dinner in the MDR but perfect for MTD. The food is the same, the dining room is the same (just another floor) and the service is the same. That's the answer to your problem. On our very first cruise in 1997, we had early seating and one of the tables our waiter waited on was a table of young girls from a South American country where they traditionally eat late. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT they came in very very late and our waiter was apoplectic in trying to get them served appetizers when he was already bringing desserts to the other tables. In addition, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT one of them claimed to have a birthday that day and the whole wait staff would stop and sing happy birthday and bring a flaming birthday cake. The waiter graciously accommodated then every night but it made an impression on me-be on time for dinner. JennyB and bhageerah
