We still have a bunch of those shot glasses.  Don't know why we're keeping them....but we have them.

We use the glasses from previous cruises somewhat regularly - we hang with a crowd that loves to party and a couple times a year we do the layered drinks using those glasses.

Quick question, if I’ve already booked the premium drinks package, when I order a drink is a gratuity added for each drink therefore adding an additional cost once onboard? Usually don’t bother with the alcohol package but considering it the time

No, when you purchase the drink package the gratuity will be added on prior to check out.  If you feel someone is deserving of a tip above that when you are on the ship, that's your prerogative and I'm sure appreciated, but it is not expected.

Were you able to get a discounted price for the Drink package.  Just curious because were were on the Freedom last year and paid $700 for 2. This year on a 9 night cruise, they are charging $1000.

The drink packages do go on sale from time to time but sales do not apply to all ships or sail dates.  Best to keep checking.  If you buy and it drops in price you can refund and but again at the lower price.

They do have draft beer..and yes, it is dependent on the venue and the ship and availability.  I don't know of a comprehensive list and even when I've seen a bar menu on board with draft selections they often weren't correct or a tap was out.  I didn't pay attention on Mariner this past weekend but the Pub had different beers on draft than Playmakers..I think the Pub had Strongbow and Heineken while Playmakers had Blue Moon, Sam Adams, Heineken, Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin.

oh my.  That Ballast point is one of my favorite beers. Please let it be 3 weeks from now!!!

Depends on the ship ?

Mariner and Navigator have The Bamboo Room with some really cool drinks that are very good.

A frozen lemonade with Grey Goose is a refreshing drink on a hot summer day.

The Kraken Lavaflow deserves honorable mention.

Pictures of drinks?  I kind of went overboard in the Bamboo Room on Navigator.

Fresh off Navigator in March 2019 here is the latest version of the drink menu found on many ships.

It's largely unchanged from 2017 but prices have been updated.

I BELIEVE that the virgin frozen drinks go for something in the realm of $7-8 each. All I remember is I asked the bartender how much my round would have been if I didn’t have the refreshment package and he said $10. I had gotten a frozen daiquiri (should be same price as piña colada) and a bottle of water.

By the way, the aforementioned time limit in between drinks doesn’t apply to bottled water. Bar tenders won’t blink if you ask for a drink and a bottle of water at the same time if you have the drink package. One swipe of the sea pass card and you are on your way. I found the value and the convenience of  grabbing water bottles throughout the day to be an undersung benefit of the drink package for me.

Correct however I think the person asking the question was interested in mocktail pricing without a drink package.

AHHHH, yes...however, I did what I often do and responded without reading all the rest of the comments.  oops.  LOL

Has anyone seen spicy Tequila at the bars (on the Allure)?  My wife and I really enjoy spicy margarita's.  I'm sure the bartenders are great at improvising a "spicy" cocktail with some fresh jalapeno's, but figured I'd ask.

Boleros *might* have a spicy Tequila, if any bar has one.

Sabor bar does a spicy margarita with fresh jalapeños muddled in, and they have a whole bunch of tequilas, so they very well may have a spicy one as well.

Is the full bar menu available in the MDR at breakfast and dinner?  Will you be able to order one of these drinks from the wait staff and have it brought to you at your table? I'm prepping for my 2nd cruise this summer and the last time we didn't have the drink package so I'm a little confused on putting all this into practice (other than walking up to a bar at a lounge or by the pool).

Yes, you will be able to order these drinks from the wait staff.  They will usually take your card when you order.  There used to be dedicated drink waiters but now it's handled by the waitstaff, so it may take longer than one would expect to receive their drink.  I would suggest swinging by a bar on the way into the MDR and grabbing a drink.  Then go ahead and order another one when they take your order in case it takes awhile.

If I had the Refreshment Package with the virgin Pina Colada included, how would they charge me for a regular Pina Colada?  Do they just charge me for the alcohol or do they charge me for the full price of the Pina Colada?

They would just charge you for the shot of rum.  I think that is $7.95 plus 18%.

If you order the alcoholic Pina Colada they will charge you the full price for it.  It's cheaper to order the non-alcholic pina colada and buy the shot and pour it in yourself.

I check my portfolio, I was charged $11.79 for the regular Pina Colada I ordered at Two70.

Yup..just clarify it this way that you have the Refreshment Package which covers the virgin drink and you want to purchase the shot.  Sometimes they'll just ring it up that way and mix it up for you, otherwise you can work on disintegrating your first straw stirring the shot in..so don't forget to grab a second straw for drinking purposes ?

@twangster, this is a great brochure you created.  Did you go around and price each of the drinks out and create this from scratch or did you get a copy form Royal?
