From Port to Atlantis Casino

My mother wants to gamble at the Atlantis Casino when we stop there for a day. How do we get there? What do we have to pay for? What are the hours?

I can tell you there are two ways I know about:

1. There is a ferry/small tender that leaves from the pier to Atlantis, paradise island. Fee unknown

2. Taxi is another option but the drivers have a death wish. I wouldn’t advise my worst enemy to get in one without a life insurance policy and a few Hail Mary’s for good measure. I have personally been in a taxi when the driver (big mama, yes that’s her name) ran a man off the road and got into a fist fight with him on the bridge to paradise island.

There are two ways to get from the port to Atlantis. The water ferry is a nice water tour of the expensive home that line the shoreline leading up to Atlantis. The cost was about $7.00 per person back in 2017. The issue with using this method to get to Atlantis is that the spot where you are left off is better than a half mile from the entrance to the Atlantis Casino. My wife and I got lost and wandered into a private resort when walking the remainder of the distance to the resort.

The second is the taxi service at the end of the pier. Where some people don't like using the taxi services on the island, I have never had a bad experience. The cost was about $10 + tip each way and all of the drivers have been very friendly and informative. Plus, you go from port to door and vice versa.

We're planning to use a taxi in three weeks when we visit again.
