Linda216
So if I opt out of the automatic gratuity charge when I book my cruise....what are my options later? Is it an automatic 18% later when on the cruise? Or can I adjust the percent once there?
WAAAYTOOO
If you do not prepay your gratuities then they will be charged daily to your onboard account.
Matt
If you do not pre-pay, every night of the cruise you will be charged an automatic gratuity for each guest. You can have the option to go to Guest Services to ask them to remove the auto gratuity in lieu of you tipping the same crew members directly. Keep in mind that you are still essentially obliged to provide gratuity.

The pre-paid gratuities are "seen" and processed by the company and of course with that are the applicable govt taxes removed. Cash is right in the servers/attendants pocket. Cez
Pre-paid gratuities are reaching more people that you interact with. Pre-paid and if you think that someone deserves more for amazing service, give some extra

I always do the pre-paid (SO convenient) and give cash extra to those who go above what is expected. If that gets stolen, it's a less amount than the 18%.
