I think a spacious interior might be a good one to bid on. My wife is a Photo Junkie she will have 1 large suitcase just for her clothes. My daughter will share another suitcase and a carry on. twangster Posted February 28, 2019 Report Share Posted February 28, 2019 Have you looked into what it would cost to purchase a spacious interior cabin right now? Call your travel agent or Royal if booked direct. Ask the question... "how much to upgrade?" then thank them and hang up. That should give you the high end of your bidding strategy. Low end is the minimum bid. Everything in between is the personal value you place on more space. If they tell you there are no spacious interior cabins available then chances are there won't be before sailing and no amount of money bid will be successful, unless someone in one cancels or they get upgraded to an ocean view or something. Sounded fishy to me should I call again and try for a different person? I also messed up and booked directly thru rcl instead of a travel agent. No big deal worst case I get the room type I booked. Price one like you don't have a current booking. Subtract what you paid for your booking. That will give you an idea of the price to upgrade. I called Royal Caribbean and they said they hold some rooms back for the Royal Up program and encouraged me to still bid if I wanted an upgrade.... But now I'm discouraged. Thanks Don't be discouraged. I didn't think i was going to get the upgrade because online it said all the cabins besides the suites were sold out. We got upgraded the other day with only 6 days left for our cruise. We made our original bid with 88 days left on the countdown and only bid $10 above the minimum bid. Good Luck.
