Sail Away

This will be our first cruise ever! We are sailing on Harmony of the Seas in June, and we have an ocean view balcony. I'm excited to experience cruising for the first time, and I'm wondering what you think is the best place to enjoy the "sail away." Is it best to join a party on deck? Or, enjoy our balcony?

Thanks!

The pool deck and deck 16 above it have a great sail away energy.

Balconies are a solid choice for a quiet and private sail away experience.

Deck 5 aft can be cool and the bridge wings off the solarium will be popular spots too.

Check out PTZtv.com  The webcams they have focus on the ship every week it sails.  You'll get an idea of the popular spots.

As I post this she should be sailing any minute now.

Welcome the the message boards! Feel free to ask away with any questions you may have. There  is a wealth of well seasoned cruisers here that will be glad to help you out. Since this is your first cruise, I recommend you check out the deck plans here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/harmony-of-the-seas/deck-plans/1819/03. That way, you will have a good idea of where everything is on the ship so you don't get "too" lost. Twangster's recommendations above are spot on. By the way, the Solarium is located on deck 14. He is a very well seasoned cruiser and knows everything about the Royal cruise ships.

Enjoy your first cruise. Are you counting down the days? :27_sunglasses:
