RDempster
Booked our first ever cruise on Ovation of the Seas for an Alaskan Cruise on Aug. 9! Our kids (11 & 8) are your typical picky eaters. Just wondering what the kids menu looks like for the MDR venues. Thanks for any help! twangster
Welcome to the message boards! This menu is from a different ship but will be similar. Consider it a 'sample' kids menu. bhageerah and Miznikki2u
bhageerah
is pretty much right on! As has already been stated it changes a little bit (not much) from ship to ship but what is posted is right on. Even if they want something that is not on that menu that they like you can still request it, especially if you know that the kids will eat that dish every night and they will be more than happy to accommodate you! Enjoy your cruise!!
RDempster
That’s perfect! And hey, who knows, maybe on a ship we can get them to eat something new. Thank you!
HeWhoWaits
In our experience, the serving sizes for the children's menu are pretty generous. If nothing on the regular menu strikes your fancy that evening, order from the children's menu. On one family trip, our son ordered himself chicken fingers pretending it was for the 11 month old. She didn't get any of the chicken but ate some of my lamb instead.
Kwevans
Are kids allowed to order from the main menu? My child likes to eat shrimp and steak sometimes.
bhageerah
Just now, Kwevans said: Are kids allowed to order from the main menu? My child likes to eat shrimp and steak sometimes. ABSOLUTELY!! They are on vacation they can eat from whatever menu that they decide is better for them! Shoot they can even order off both if they wanted to! AshleyDillo
That's why cruising is nice..they can try new things by ordering off the adult menu. Then if they don't like it they have the typical kiddie fare as a stand-by. Heck, adults can order off the kids menu as well.
