Yeah...I have no idea.  I suspect, however, that they pay for these gifts out of their own pockets.

I’d bet that they don’t. And If they do we’d have been dramatically underestimating a genies earning power. According to the British butler institute who places the genies they only make 2150$ a month.

This afternoon we had the Bridge tour. Again, Star Class had their own session and Araceli accompanied us the whole time. Pics will be later on this as it is on Hubby’s camera.

We asked Araceli to stop by just before the tour to give her this:

I am hoping that she liked it.

Trying to find every excuse possible right now to not pack. Dinner is later at Jamie’s again. That’s all for now.

Sabrina,

I have really enjoyed your blog on this cruise....even though you didn't post a selfie. But, your genie did! The photo of you and your family in Labadee with the model of the Harmony. Glad you all had a GREAT time, enjoy your last night and have a safe trip home. :27_sunglasses:

Hi Sabrina.  I'm sitting in a hotel in Miami before flying back home tomorrow after our Symphony cruise and I just had to check in to your report and see how your week went in Harmony.  Looks amazing!!!  Wow..what a nice room! Seems like you're all having a fantastic time.  Amazing photos and descriptions.  Thanks for sharing and safe travels back.

P.S. I love those coconut ranger cookies and so mad I didn't have any all week.

OMG That note!!  From all of the goodies, all of the arrangements, that note brought a tear to my eye!

Some of us here are crying too...?

Seriously, though -- Fantastic live blog you've done! You've definitely put the SC dream into my head; just maybe on a Q-class ship instead of O. ?

It doesn’t have to be a dream. There are deals to be found, especially on the Q class ships.

We may have to consider taking the plunge on being spoiled once we no longer are paying college tuition x2...

I may be in permanent dry dock once I have to start paying for university tuition x 2!

Dinner Night 7: Back to Jamie’s

Food fatigue has definitely set in as we were barely able to eat once the main entree rolled around. Menu is the same as night 2.

Bread tray to start.

Araceli asked us earlier what time we would like to get off. We named a time and it was as easy as that. Luggage valet is covered so we signed up for that. I will report tomorrow on how the walk of sadness goes.

Rohan our loft attendant has been wonderful!  I have heard many great things about Rohan in the past and was super excited when I heard on embarkation day that he was our attendant. I have never met a stateroom attendant who is more personal and proud of his job than Rohan. We will miss our chats and fist bumps with him in the hallway. The conversation never ends when you talk to Rohan, and it’s not one that you want to end.  I have learned so much from Rohan, he has been a loft attendant since OA class began in 2009. He has been with Royal since the days of Legend of the Seas!  Tomorrow he goes home for vacation and I am so happy for him.

So what did we think of Star Class overall?

Well, if you have not picked up on it yet, we simply loved it!  And I knew it and you all knew it, I am most definitely spoiled for all other cruises from this point onwards.

I am completely in love with not only SC, but Deck 17 itself. I need to find my way back the the “gated community” somehow. There is something indescribable about these lofts, the high ceilings, the two bathrooms, the open and airy feel of the room, these are the things I love about the loft.  The location to CK and the SL for these rooms is also so convenient.  Nothing beats that!  And the hallways are extra wide up here.

Hopefully a few months in dry dock will condition us for our JS on Anthem GC in July.

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this blog, there are many types of cruisers and you have to know which category you fall under. We know what “type” we are and what is important to us. For us, the perks of SC are worth it, given the right price. The room is also worth it because we spend a lot of time in our cabin.

What did we get the most use of from our perks?

Specialty dining for sure. We tried almost everything that we possibly could. I am afraid to step on the scale Monday morning. The kids also made very good use of the in-room specialty dining. They only ate with us 3 out of the 7 nights. The rest, they ordered in from specialty.  Also, as I stated before, the reserved seating is a big deal for us because we are show people. The girls are too. So having that perk was awesome. Only once did we get questioned about why “those seats” were saved for us.  Araceli had a great explanation for them and she explained it ever so kindly. We also could not resist putting our two cents in.

We lucked out big time with Araceli. She is so personable and kind. Her smile does not ever fade. We have exchanged well over 100 emails back and forth since her first contact. She is amazing with communicating!  Never did a dinner go by where she did not come in to check on us. During the day, she would either come to find us or email me to check in if we needed anything. So thankful too that we have had the opportunity to sit down with her for some conversations and get to know her as a person. She is simply wonderful!  Going to miss her for sure!

Early start for us tomorrow so I will end off here.  I will update from the airport to comment on the walk off.

Thank you so much for your wonderful live review. I will miss checking in each day. We are just getting started on our cruise vacations so heaven only knows if we will ever even consider Star Class, maybe once the kids are done with college....I can dream, right. Until then at least my hubby has agreed that we get a cruise without the kids for each cruise we take as a family. It looks like you and your family had the most amazing vacation- I bet you splurge again after a week like that because how can you go back?

First , thank you so much for taking everyone with your SC adventure, I know its not easy to update as much as you done, you spoiled us ?

Second , RC should sponsor your next SC cruise, or at least give you a huge discount , just ask them to see how many people browsed their site during the last week  for SC prices , I think you convinced many to at least try and book one.

Have a safe trip home and may your next cruise and SC will come soon.

I would be happy if they just gave triple points for SC sailings

Thank you so much for this amazing review! So full of information and you ( and others) always answered questions which was very much appreciated for a newbie! What an amazing vacation for you and your family!

That is the beauty of a live blog. Great interaction and lots to learn from each other. For example, I now know how to warm cookies for my next cruise ?

Well, walk off was a breeze. Araceli came to pick us up in our cabin at 8:30 am. We were at the curb waiting for Lyft by 8:45 am. There is no wait time with the SC departure. She bypassed all lines and elevators.  No drama from any other guests, and since we had LV, there was nothing to pick up either.

Last sad sight...

FLL is another story, it is packed here. So far everything is good at the gate and our flight home is on time.

Happy to answer any other questions if there are any. If not, thank you all for following along with us. It has been a wonderful week and I have loved sharing the experience with all of you. ?

Sabrina, a huge thanks to you and your family for taking us along on your SC adventure! It has given me (and I am sure all readers of this blog) an opportunity to step away and imagine what our lives can be! Sometimes, we all just need a little hope.

Like so many others have joked, how can you go back to regular suite life?!?! Which is still pretty fancy for me!!

Safe travels back home!!

Ugh...the feeling of walking off the ship, having been pampered all week...and back to the real world of waiting, and lines...sigh.  Not sure I like that.  Maybe Royal can extend the SC service to include bringing you to the airport & bypassing all the lines and escorting you right onto the plane.  Now that would be service worth paying for!

Yes, dinner only, depending on availability ?
