melmar02
I am prone to motion sickness, however, if I take a half a non-drowsy dramamine every morning of the cruise, I am fine (and the other half as needed if there is a lot of motion). My kids have never shown any motion sickness on land, but I would like to be prepared just in case. What do you recommend, bands, motion sickness pills, or something else, for a 7 and 11 year old? Jolly Ogre
You can get meclizine otc at Walmart. Take one in the AM with breakfast and one with dinner and you all should be good to go. melmar02
Lovetocruise2002
In Canada, we have Gravol which is pretty much Dramamine. I take the adult version. And my 10/12 year old take the children's version. melmar02
melski94
If just being prepared then Childrens Dramamine and sea bands. Only give if needed. There isn’t much else on the market that is labeled for safe for kids. VolFanInGa and melmar02
VolFanInGa
Another option for your kids may be Sea-bands. We have them for our kids' upcoming first cruise in April. They are a relatively cheap alternative to medicines. My brother and niece swear by them. I think we purchased two pair for under $10. melmar02
tiny260
On the natural side you can try Ginger pills and/or Ginger Ale. A head waiter fixed this for my daughter once, it was hot tea with lemon, honey, ginger, had her eat a green apple and saltines (She was already sea sick), but after she did these few things she never got sick again the rest of the cruise.
