whitsmom
I am starting to look at my flights for my cruise in November. The airport is about 28 minutes from the terminal. The Sunday flights for noon and later are really jacked up (Delta). If we have a private shuttle to pick us up, what would be the earliest flight before noon (if that is even going to be an option). We have to be back for work on Monday.
L454S
New Orleans Airport is not that busy. You won't generally need a lot of time to get through security checkpoints at the concourse. Yes , as you said, it is about a half hour cab ride and ride time depends on the day of the week. All things going right and if you do a self disembark, you could make a 10 or 11 o'clock flight. Wouldn't want to guarantee it though. whitsmom
AshleyDillo
They had shuttles directly to the airport for $20 right at the port exit. Didn't even need to arrange them in advance. My friend took one and was at her gate by 830am. We left the ship around 730am. Always have a backup plan and take the first opportunity to get off the ship and you should be able to make a flight before noon easily. whitsmom
whitsmom
This is good to know. I am hopeful that as the time gets a little closer, we can get the airfare a little cheaper. I think they know that the cruise people want the noon and early afternoon so they charge more. WAAAYTOOO
