mommyrnc
Are the spin and yoga studios open to the public when not in use for a class? And does anyone know if the spin bikes use pedal clips? Trying to decide if I need to take my cycle shoes or not. I use an on demand service for working out and don't really want to do the spin or yoga classes offered by RCCL. We will be on Majesty of the Seas. Thanks all. KathyC
I can't speak for Majesty, but on Harmony the yoga mats were not out for general use when the class wasn't going on. That doesn't mean you can't ask for one, they may let you use one. Where would you go to use it, I'm curious?
KathyC
Here is a recent video tour; fitness center is around 5:50. I don't see mats out, and it looks like the cycles are corded off.
mommyrnc
KathyC...I always bring my own mat, so that’s not an issue. I thought they offered classes & would've used whatever studio they have available. Maybe I can find a quiet corner on deck for some Body Flow. I see how they have the bikes. Thank you for posting. BunnyMama
Wondering what type of cleats the bikes take on Symphony. I have my delta cleats I'd like to bring if they're compatible.

N4th4noot
For anyone interested I’m on the Symph it Seas at the moment: the spin bikes are Life Fitness Ic5, cleats are SPD MTB style, lots of shoes available. Some images below: The spin classes are $20 each class or $69 for unlimited classes. You can’t actually use the bikes when there is not a class on but if you throw a few $$ to the gym instructor they turn a blind eye. There aren’t any spin style bikes in the actually gym area, just sit up bikes. Matt

The trainer did come in (while I was streaming a Peloton class!) and charge me $39 for use of spin bikes while not in class use. The $39 charge was the total for the entire cruise. I wasn't too happy (at first) because the bikes sit idle for 23 hours a day, the room and bikes are unlocked and there is no sign saying you can't use the spin bikes without paying a fee. However after reading this post I am reluctantly OK with the fee. I took their spin classes a few years ago on the Independence of the Seas and thought they were mediocre at best, the instructor had the same Playlist every time and seemed to be just a guy that had done spin a couple of times before. Now I get to do all my favorite Peloton classes while on the cruise which makes working out much more palatable.
