CGTLH
Trying to make up for some lost time. Theme for the night in Windjammer was Caribbean night. Mongolian Grill yet again was the made-to-order selection for the night. Caribbean night selections ^ These were labeled as goat, oxtail, and chicken curry. ^ Fish warning in the next two pictures Getting a better look at what hides in the back corner of the picture above. Yup, that is exactly what you think it is. Whole fried fish, labeled as grouper. Wow, what a selection on last night's theme. Time for a close up of curry goodness Finally dessert bar Plus the cake in a giant pan Bonus feature for the night, Sangria. Not sure if it was the real deal made with wine. Primarily camera (Canon 7D MK II). Pictures without a watermark would be from my phone (S8+). Pictures from the Old San Juan food tour were taken with my phone. CGTLH
Hope your hungry for tonight's Windjammer Recon, theme of the night is Tex-Mex. Next up our Indian/curry selection Bonus shot of the Mongolian Stir-fry selection Next a visit to the dessert bar Wait, that is where the desserts usually are. Why is there a salad bar here? Ohhh, forgot to mention it is also Chocolate Buffet night. Have to say, good use of what has been used as the salad bar this sailing. Pictures for this recon were taken with my phone and tweaked in Lightroom. Good thing too, by the time I would have had a chance to grab my camera the chocolate buffet was showing major signs of battle damage. Also none of the chocolate buffet was self serve, crew members were assigned to various points to assist in serving guests. Subject of Compasses, yes they will get scanned and sent to @Matt for publishing. mom2mybugs

CGTLH
Playing catch up on last night's Windjammer Recon. Theme of the night was Greek, Mongolian Stir-fry once again for the freshly made meal. Opa! for the Greek selections. Only complaint would be the flow between getting the meat for the gyro and the pitas. Normally I'll leave the giant pan dessert for later, but with it being a Greek themed dessert Next up for tonight Indian selection, common them has been rice, Dal, vegetarian selection, and some type of meat. Finally dessert, did sample the Key Lime Meringue pie. Had to say it seemed better than the Chops version. CGTLH
If anyone is wondering. Yes Terminal 29 does have a Global Entry and Suites CBP lines. Just have to ask right before start your way to normal lines. No signage indicating the line and it is normally roped off. CGTLH
Reporting a bit late the final Windjammer Recon for this sailing. Theme for the night was American. Plus there were a few other bonus selections. Mongolian stir-fry once again was offered, only time it wasn't was the first night. Fitting giant pan dessert... Bonus feature 1: Chilled seafood (scallops, shrimp, mussels, and crawfish) Bonus feature 2: Freshly made doughnuts Final bonus: Cake Overall I was impressed by the theme nights on Adventure. Was a bit disappointed by the small number Indian/curry options. But from what I'm recalling I don't think other ships were that much different. On thing I was surprised about was no daily steamed vegetable offering, everything was a grilled or roasted offering. Check in was smooth other than playing musical chairs. Guess the design of the terminal doesn't allow for an isolated customs path. Heading upstairs we had to walk thru that area. Not too many playing the early arrival game. For anyone keep track, on board by 10:30. Hello, Did you use the key? If not, do you know about priority checkin for key members? Was there a dedicated area for this? Thank you

Booked the very last minute for the Old San Juan Food Tour with Flavors of San Juan (not a ship sponsored tour). Our guides for this journey were Shannon and Fernando. The size of our group for this culinary journey hovered at 8. Meeting point was at POPULAR Bank/Carli's Fine Bistro & Piano between Calle Tizol and Calle San Justo and Calle Recinto Sur at 2:45 pm. @CGTLH I really want to do this tour when I am on Adventure in April. On the cruise planner it looks like this is an option for at least $20/pp. I can see the same company logo on the tour guides shirts in the description. So far it is not available to do so on their website. My wife is apprehensive about going on an excursion that is not through RC, but it appears as though the 2:45/3:00 start time is the sweet spot for ensuring plenty of time to enjoy the tour and get back on the ship with a little bit of independent exploration time on either side of the tour. After reading this we (or myself at least) are doing this!
CGTLH
@jhatle01 With it being a walking tour I wouldn't be too concerned about missing the ship. If you start feeling pressed for time you can always leave early. If you don't see it offered reach out to them and ask. Possibility that they are sold out but might be able to squeeze two more in. Also if you decide to book directly with the company use code flavorsEAT for a discount. It can also be used for the tours offered in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. I've done the St. Maarten one where you are driven around the island. Had a great time on that one and had planned on trying to do the San Juan one the next day. Check out my LIVEish from Harmony in 2018 for the recap.

It's only about 1.5 months out on their site and I am just outside of that window. I have been checking and more dates open up as it closer to the date. 9 hours ago, CGTLH said: Also if you decide to book directly with the company use code flavorsEAT for a discount.
