NZCruiser
Hi guys, We are going on Explorer of the Seas on March 10, 2019 and I'm wondering if they allow extension cords to be brought on board, or if we need to organise with Royal to supply one? My husband has a CPAP machine which needs to be beside the bed, so we always need an extension cord to reach a plug when we're on a cruise ( I imagine there won't be a plug beside the bed). We have been on NCL, but as this is our first Royal cruise, I'm not sure how they work it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Shelley
SpeedNoodles
They are not - but either inform your travel agent ahead of time or call Royal Caribbean and they will arrange to have whatever he needs for his CPAP machine - I know my agent asked ahead of time for any special needs, such as a CPAP (my husband also uses one and will need filtered water - our cabins actually have an outlet next to the bed, but they are newer classes of ships). https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy
Dawn T.
Hi @NZCruiser. You can fill out this form and they will have the items you need waiting for you in the cabin. https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/allaboutcruising/guestSpecialNeeds.do
ptod
Even if you send in a special needs request, it doesn't always mean your distilled water, cord or even a medical fridge will be waiting in your room. If anything is missing, just ask your room steward and the items will magically appear.
