princevaliantus
I'm currently on the Oasis of the Seas for the holidays and when returning to the room we found this. My reaction? Laughter. Then, we heard some really "not so nice" comments on the ship especially coming from those in Grand Suites and above who visited Guest Services and expressed their, shall we say, concerns? Is it a slap in the face for those who paid thousands of dollars for those big suites & perks OR tis the season for good gesture? And so, as Tiny Tim said, "A Merry Christmas to us all; God bless us, every one!" You be the judge!! 20181225_141330.mp4

SpeedNoodles
If people are wigged out about the "lower class" getting a few pieces of coffee cake on Christmas Day, they really need to get their priorities straight. Baked Alaska
How would I take that? With coffee and perhaps a little more marzipan in that stollen! Merry and Happy Christmas! Bah Humbug to the complainers! princevaliantus, Sweety, Al Horner and 2 others
dodgestang
Perhaps some of the people in suites think enjoyment of the cruise is a zero sum game....and they can't have full enjoyment if the staff is sharing extras with people ;). I'm not like that.....then again....the concierge is always like "How come you don't come up to the lounge" when I am on board ship and I'm always like "ohh too busy" but the real reason is that it is often filled with people who complain about free bread on a cruise SpeedNoodles, whenismynextcruise, princevaliantus and 5 others 5
whenismynextcruise
How dare RCL treat those of us in steerage as equals! steer·age /ˈstirij/ noun 1. HeWhoWaits
Those who raised a stink about this simple gesture should have their C&A accounts flagged as individuals to be up-charged on every future booking. Does that suggestion sound petty enough to match the complainers? princevaliantus, coneyraven, ScooterScott22 and 2 others
bhageerah
I tell you what, I will gladly take their place, and promise that I will not complain one bit. I guess sometimes we all forget that sometimes it is not about "us" all the time and that it is the season for kindness, and giving to others. I would have smiled and enjoyed it one bite at a time! Wish I was on a cruise right now to be able to enjoy a slice myself!!! whenismynextcruise and princevaliantus
Auto
Wait, what?...people are seriously complaining that there was something given to non-suite guests for "free?" a) What has this world come to? b) How would they know...much less care? I assume they had something of greater or equal value served to them up in Shangri-La c) Seriously.....what? KLA
What makes me laugh is that the exact same people who are likely to make that complaint are the exact same ones who will complain about "entitled millennials" in the same breath. coneyraven, Baked Alaska, tiny260 and 6 others 3 3 2
coneyraven
I consider it to be a lovely gesture, nothing more ..... and for those that got their panties all in a bunch, GET OVER IT!!! DDemuth
To be honest, if I was in a suite for this sailing, my reaction would be "Fine! Let them eat cake." But only after I confirmed with the Captain that there was no guillotine on board... ellcee
Very lovely. I had to read the comments to figure out what the figure out what the issue was. I think it's a nice gesture and GIMME. Broons77
Broons77
Like @ellcee, I too had no clue what the issue out of the suite folks would be. That's the most ridiculous complaint I've ever heard. I'd like mine with coffee and Bailey's please. ellcee, NZCruiser, JLMoran and 1 other 2
