Sean
Hi everyone! we are a couple around 45 y.o, no kids and will be cuising on january for a 7 nights eastern caribbean cruise. We need some advice for shore excursions because we prefer to arrange on our own to save some money, maybe contracting with local taxi or directly with some local travel agency. We don't know wheather conditions in january and maybe a day on the beach wouldn't be a good choice. What do you suggest to visit during our dock days, considering following docking times? Nassau: from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm Charlotte: from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm St. Kitts: from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Thank you in advance!
KathyC
Nassau is the only port we've been to recently. We did the day pass at British Colonial Hilton, which I wouldn't recommend for the hours you are in port. Nassau has a bad reputation as a port, but it can be what you make it. It's safe to wander near the port but just be careful. There is an airplane simulator near the port that is growing in popularity. There is also a winery, Bahama Barrel Winery, that offers tastings. You can walk over to Greycliff as well.
