Brobbins246
I've heard about the pushy beach merchants that approach you while trying to relax, selling their wares. I've also heard they usually respect a spoken, "No Gracias" but has anyone tried using a sign? I mean seriously, I would consider bringing a sign to stick in the sand or hold up that says "No Gracias" so they don't even talk to me. I want to zone out and not be interrupted every five minutes. Do you think that would work?
Matt
Personally, I would not consider that kind of an option. To be honest, I think it's border-line rude. A simple "no thank you", combined with not making eye contact goes a long way. Brobbins246
Thanks for the input. I certainly don't want to treat them rudely, and actually thought that might help save them some time and energy too. No offense meant. Agree with Matt, I simple "No thank you" is all it usually takes, most move on to the next person. On an beach I find that if I have sun glasses on, a hat and ear buds in appearing like I'm ready my ipad or a book, they will usually just walk on.
