  1. Hi Everybody, We collect a refrigerator magnet of each of the Royal Caribbean ships we sail on. Somehow on our Rhapsody of the Seas (Oct 30, 2005) we forgot to get a magnet. We may have been having too much fun. Anyways, does anyone know how to get a Rhapsody of the Seas magnet? We have future bookings on Explorer, Majesty, and Symphony and can't really budget a Rhapsody cruise just for the magnet.
  2. I am looking to book a cruise and trying to figure out flights back. I was looking at taking a 10:30 am flight from Ben Gurion (Tel Aviv) to London. The Rhapsody of the Seas is scheduled to get back in at Haifa at 5 am and I assume it will take a couple of hours to disembark. My question (which I think I know the answer) will I have enough time to make this flight or is it way too close of a call? Please let me know if you have been on a cruise out of Haifa and disembark how long the process was.
  3. Earlier today I had my May 2022 cruise cancelled out of Tampa. Apparently, ROS is being repositioned to Europe. Funny thing is the subject they send says "change" and then you have to get through the entire first paragraph until they tell you it's cancelled. No complaints as long as my two sailings before that go off as planned. 74 days until I walk aboard Symphony in Miami!!!! Apologies of this has been mentioned already.
  4. I am writing to you from the Rhapsody of the Seas and we are currently on our 4th day. Sorry for the delay. I am currently traveling with three people and two of us are in one stateroom and two of us are traveling with The Key. Embarkation Day: Embarkation was a bit of a mess. The Key members were given a priority boarding and our group decided to split up between Key and non-Key. There were not many agents helping Key members and we were waiting so long that the non-Key member of our group was through the check-in process about the same time. The check-in process took forever and I got onboard with a headache and took the longest nap once in my stateroom. The Ship: I’ve read a lot of negative reviews about people’s gripes with Rhapsody. I think I had to change my mindset prior to boarding and I reminded myself that this is not an Oasis Class ship. Once I was in the right frame of mind, I was pleasantly surprised by what I’ve found. The ship has an intimate feeling to it and I regularly run into the same people. The ship is clean and the staff have been great. It may be a little dated in some areas, but this hasn’t interfered with my ability to enjoy all she has to offer. As Matt once said, there are no bad Royal Caribbean ships. The Food: The food is okay. There has been one dinner in the MDR that I couldn’t finish because it was so bland, but everything else has been adequate. The buffet food is plentiful and there is decent variety to please most palettes. Nothing has really blown us away, but I’m satisfied with what the majority of food we’ve had thus far. The Activities: Rhapsody doesn’t have as many activities as the bigger ships, but we’ve managed to keep ourselves busy. We’ve been to one show, we’ve taken advantage of the trivia nights and I personally have caught up on my sleep. It’s been 9 years since our last Caribbean cruise and I was surprised that Royal charges for their galley tour, which used to be free. I can’t comment on activities for children, but imagine that there isn’t a lot for teenagers to do. Tendering: Key members are supposed to get priority boarding on the tenders, but honestly we didn’t need it. We got to Grand Cayman early in the morning and there was no difficulty getting off the ship. The staff offered to let Key members cut the line at a non-tender port, but we didn’t feel the need to do it. Staterooms: The staterooms are satisfactory and clean. I’ve taken everybody’s advice and have brought my magnets and am using a multi-USB hub to charge multiple devices. The Shows: Saw Piano Man and thought it felt like a high school production. The magician last night was more entertaining. Overall, both were okay. The Internet: The Surf & Stream is generally good so far. There have been a few moments when it has been a little slow, but it’s not terrible. I have been able to stream Netflix and shows from my ITunes account. Coffee Card: The regular coffee onboard isn’t much to write home about. I pre-purchased the coffee card and I am satisfied with the overall value. The staff on Rhapsody have been generous with their “punches.” I ordered a double shot of espresso this afternoon and it was only one punch. We are having a great time here on Rhapsody and have no big complaints so far. Please let me know if there are any questions out there.
  5. I put together a 49 second video showing several meals eaten onboard Rhapsody of the Seas last week. There are a few bites that were eaten on land, but the majority of food was consumed on the ship. Enjoy! IMG_0583.MOV
  6. I have never been on a cruise, nor have I been out of the US and will be taking my first cruise on Rhapsody May 23, 2020! Any tips, advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are planning to arrive in Venice the day before embarkation and will be going to Prague and Warsaw for a few days after the cruise.
  7. Hey Cruisers! Looking ahead to more of loving the cruise life! A lot more! Doing our first TA on Rhapsody out of Tampa on April 27th...a 14 nighter that arrives in Barcelona, Spain on May 11th! Anyone around here gonna be on board? Would love to say "Hi" and just meet some folks who love cruising and RCCL as much as we do. Hit me up if you're gonna be aboard, or just say Hi! 8. Hello All, Second cruise with RC will be with my boyfriend again in Dec 2019 out of Tampa. We have a Shore excursion at every port and are doing a fun cheap Sushi class on a sea day and a cupcake decoration fun cheap class on the other sea day. Needless to say we are excited for this cruise in 300+ days. My question is is since we are flying to Tampa from NY day of the cruise how long is the Tampa airplane terminal to the cruise terminal by cab? Like half hour/hour? The cruise leaves at 4pm Dec 7, 2019. Also, side note called RC and turns out my boyfriend can purchase the deluxe bev package and I can purchace tge refreshment package since I don't drink due to meds I take. And any info on the casino on Rhapsody of the Seas we would love. Attached is the itinerary. We are so excited! Any info would be appreciated.
  9. I'm sorry to ask this question but does anyone know if Rhapsody of the Seas has Coke Freestyle machines? I know it's not on the lists I've found but I heard a review recently that said they had them. Didn't know if this information had changed? We are going on Rhapsody in December and my son has never been on a ship without the Coke Freestyle machines so I need to prepare him if not. Thank you!
  10. Does anyone have any pictures of Rhapsody of the Seas PV staterooms? 7082-7088 ... 7582-7588 the same for deck 8. I've seen these staterooms have a floor to ceiling window and have a lot more space, I have been quoted a price by my travel agent and was wondering if anyone has stayed in this category and has any pictures? or of her sister ships for that matter
  11. I will be sailing on Rhapsody of the seas in May in a Aft Junior suite room. and was wondering if I can get the upgraded room service menu like other suites or is it just for grand suites and above? I know Rhapsody has less balconies and suites so didn't know if the rule differs for the smaller ship?
  12. I was almost kind of bummed out to find that they will refurbish Rhapsody in Dec. 16, since I'm sailing on October. I'm wondering what upgrades the ship will have, that we will miss out on! Does anyone have a clue? It's TBA still. On a different note: Should I be able to book specialty restaurants and Wi-FI package on my Cruise Planner now for October? Or is there a time where booking opens? I can access the drinks package and the excursions, but not this. It says that I can try again onboard. I just wanted to see the Wi-Fi prices and maybe book a restaurant as a birthday gift.
