  1. Hey Cruise Family! So we are a week away from our Bermuda cruise and SO EXCITED!!!! So as my previous questions mentioned, DW has had an accident, and needed knee surgery. So her leg is in an immobilizer, and we are big folks, so between the wheelchair and clothing issues (we don't go out much) DW is a little concerned about dining room attire. I told her she would be fine with stretchy pants over her immobilizer and a nice top. she is a little unsure and we are both a little insecure. would this be ok considering her situation? I know the site still mentions tuxes and evening gowns, but I'll be honest, that is never happening for us, and I have maybe seen one person in a tux in any of our cruises! Serenade hasn't switched to "Dress your Best" as far as i can tell Finally, if we do end up just going to Windjammer on those nights, do they do a different menu for formal nights???? THanks cruise pals! ONE WEEK TO GO! ?
  2. Going on the Enchantment soon and the lobster/prime rib night seems to fall on the day that we spend at Coco Cay. We wear ourselves out snorkeling that day and do not feel like dressing up for dinner. Is it possible to pick up your dinner and take it back to the room?
  3. Ok, general question. I am headed soon on my 6th cruise this fall for my first R C cruise. My boys (9 and 17) have not been on a cruise (17 yr old was on Disney, but obviously different style). They are not "used to" formal dining situations. To avoid them being uncomfortable and also extra unneeded clothes packing, do you recommend skipping formal night with kids? But also, dont want to just do buffet dining whole trip. The main dining on Disney was great for kids. Also, we are headed on Mariner of the Seas for 4 night Caribbean this fall with one night at sea. would there even be a formal night on that length of a cruise and if so, what night is most likely?
  4. I know the second formal night is typically lobster night, but do they also offer non-seafood options on the menu that night? Or is it only lobster for the entree? Asking as my one daughter isn't a fan of lobster and my wife doesn't eat seafood of any sort. But I'm totally looking forward to that night and my younger daughter is, as well. I'd prefer not to split us up for dinner or have to forego that night altogether because I'm outvoted. That said, if I can still get lobster that night at Chops or one of the other specialty restaurants, then I'd be OK with "relocating" my dinner.
  5. Folks seem to guess which nights are formal on a 7 night cruise but when do you get the actual schedule from RC on your particular cruise? It does affect my choices for dinner on which nights. I've checked my cruise planner, on check in stuff but 12 days away I still don't know which nights are formal.
