  1. Hi taking my family of non cruisers on their first RC trip. I have cruised many times before and have always purchased the deluxe beverage package for the ease. I have booked my family on a two night cruise out of Sydney in January on ovation and while all the other packages are available the deluxe doesn’t seem to be. Wondering if there is a restriction on beverage packages on shorter cruises that I have not yet come across before?
  2. Has this been discussed at all recently? I put the Deluxe Beverage Package in my cart MANY weeks ago when the price was at the lowest I had seen, but I did not commit to buying it. Ever since, I saw the price substantially increase twice while the price in the cart held steady. I decided to buy it and see if my in-cart price would be honored an it was! (And ya know if not, I could've just cancelled!) My order history, email receipt, and my credit card charges all confirm that I got it at the previous price that was offered. Has anyone experienced this with the drink packages or any other items in the Cruise Planner?
  3. A few days ago RC was running a BOGO 50% off deal on the deluxe drinks package for my cruise. The original price was $54/person/day and the BOGO price was $51/person/day. Well, I forgot to purchase it and the deal is no longer available. Currently they are running a "20% off on board price" deal for $56/person/day, so I'm not particularly happy with that. I'd like to call RC customer service to see if there is any way for me to get the BOGO price, but not sure how to approach the situation. I don't want to sound like an angry jerk, but I am upset. Not to mention they've already changed the cruise itinerary and we won't be stopping in a port I was looking forward to (completely understand they have every right to change the itinerary, but still...). I'm 194 days out from my cruise, so I imagine there is a possibility for other deals to run during that time, but I also don't want the prices to increase from hear on out. Anyways - has anyone ever done this before? Would love some advice.
  4. We are booked for our first cruise on Liberty of the Seas in September. I have a few questions: 1- We have the deluxe beverage package. Is it possible to just go to the bar for a drink at Sabor without paying the cover? It looks like they have unique options. 2- Right now, it's $30 to book on cruise planner and recent cruise compasses list it as $30 on board. Does it ever get discounted? Is there any benefit to booking ahead of time, aside from better choice of seating times?

  6. Hi there - I'm going on my first ever cruise in Feb. 2020 on the Brilliance of the Seas ? I want to get the Deluxe drinks package because I think it will ultimately save me money on my trip, but I have a question. The info for the drinks package lists the types of alcohol/brands that are covered by the package, but I've noticed there are some specialty cocktails on the bar menus that are made with alcohols/brands of alcohol that are not on that list. This may seem like a silly question and I have a feeling that I already know the answer, but are some of the drinks on the bar menus not covered by the deluxe pacakge? I just don't want any surprises at the end of my trip and want to know if I should ask the bartenders what is covered by the package before I order. Thanks ?
  7. Have booked a cruise for early 2018 and notice that RCL want to charge me USD$69/day for the ultimate drinks package. This is up from the price of around USD$55/day we paid on a cruise earlier this year. Has anyone heard about changes to the pricing of the drinks packages for 2018 ?
  8. Hi all I've been looking to see if I can make the deluxe package worth it for me. 🙈 We're on Majesty for the 4 day Bahamas cruise which has 1 sea day. I figured if I drink cocktails (which are my go to when I drink) it'll definitely be worth it BUT I'm confused. The package says it covers drinks up to $12 which it says includes cocktails but the price list I've been looking at has all cocktails at $13 dollars so they won't be included. On Majesty is it fair to say all cocktails will be $13? Excluding any specials at least. Thanks very much.
  9. Does anybody know if it is possible to purchase a Banana Daiquiri on Freedom of the Seas? Last time we were on the ship (July 2015), there was some type of "import/export contract dispute" regarding supplies and the staff did not have the proper mixer to make them. I thought it was strange. We are going back on next month, so I was curious to know if that was still the case, or not. Thanks!
