  1. After falling down Matt’s video blog rabbit hole, I recently joined the blog. He does a wonderful job by the way. 62 days until Wonder of the Seas. After a decade of attempts and several previous postponements, my wife and I finally booked a cruise. Life happens. We purchased the drink package, and I was scouring the internet and all the blogs to get a better idea of the “ultra-premium” liquor options at bars like Mason Jar, in case I see something I would want to pay over’s on for the package. I have only been able to find the limited and standard offerings and menus but not the ultra-premium offerings, possibly because those can vary more frequently. I’m specifically looking for current ultra-premium whisky prices at Mason Jar, Schooner, Cask and Clipper, or any others that people would recommend. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the most current bar and premium/ultra-premium liquor options, both under and over the $15 limit for the drink package for Wonder of the Seas? I’ll take all the help I can get at this point. Thanks!
  2. I recently rebooked a cruise for Harmony of the Seas going Aug. 12 - 19 2023, to this date here. Came to this roll call to see anyone who would go on this certain cruise!
  3. Going on a cruise in March on Wonder of the Seas and looking for an experience with stingrays! Last cruise I did, Norwegian had a “stingray city” option through the cruise line but don’t see any similar/explicit options for this on my itinerary through Royal. Anyone have any recommendations on RC offered excursions that allow up close and personal encounters like some of their snorkeling options? if not, anyone have any recommendations for options near the port I can coordinate on my own? Group of 5 adults (no kids). Would love to just pet/swim/feed/take pictures with them if possible!
  4. After over a year of planning, it is almost time for (future) dear husband and I to depart on our honeymoon and first ever cruise! This forum has been a great help in planning this trip, and I hope it lives up to the other awesome live blogs I've enjoyed in that time. We are obviously very excited, but I am more so excited for DH because he has never been out of the country, much less traveled a lot within the US at all. This was more of a "him" trip than for me as I've had my "big" trip to Paris several years ago. Cruising was on both of our lists to try one day so I thought, go big or go home. Wonder of the Seas has more than enough for us to do and if we never have the chance to cruise again, I want to experience it all if possible. We depart three weeks after our "big" day. <3 Pre-cruise: We'll be driving to Port Canaveral from Central Mississippi a couple of days before, with a pit stop in Alabama to visit some family. Altogether about a 12 hour road trip with the plan to arrive the Saturday night before to rest up. Staying on Port Canaveral and have a fun little meetup with a FB cruise group at Fishlips that night. Who - Me (Holly, 31) - travel bug, type A and pina colada enthusiast and Dear Husband (DH 32), ADHD techie who still thinks we're going to St. Lucia (even though I've told him the destination 5 times) Itinerary 10/29 D1 Embark 10/30 D2 Coco Cay 10/31 D3 Sea Day 11/1 D4 St. Thomas 11/2 D5 St. Maarten 11/3 D6 Sea Day 11/4 D7 Sea Day 11/5 D8 Cry off the boat and drive home Room - Ocean View Balcony on Deck 12, Midship. We managed to find what we thought was a decent price on an ocean view balcony room during black Friday last year. Excursions/Extras Champagne, Strawberries, and 24 pack of water. We're not big drinkers so I'll problem bring the allowed wine on board, but I wanted to splurge on Evian if that's still what they're stocking. It's so cheap in Paris and I honestly got hooked on it after that trip. Beach bed on South Beach at Coco Cay. I know we wouldn't have had an issue finding chairs on Coco Cay, but we liked the idea of having a designated home base that we wouldn't risk losing if we wandered around the island. Being a little more secluded from the lively areas also appealed to us and it comes with the coolers with water. 150 Central Park Night 3 - We debated doing Chops plus one and using the plus one for 150 CP, but we're not really steak people so we just booked it by itself. We weren't thrilled by the menu for Night 3 (Taste of France) so we specifically booked for that night. This will also be Halloween. Day 4 St Thomas - Skyride, Drake's Seat, and Magen's Bay. Since we're only in St. Thomas for 8-hours we didn't want to risk being rushed or waste the time there. Booked through Royal on sale during Black Friday We've debated on booking Wonderland for Night 4 since we'll miss our reserved dining time of 5:15pm. We don't have anything like it here and we know we'll either love it or hate it, but life is about experiences. If not we'll just wing it that night. Booked all the shows, even the ones that sound a little cheesy. We're mostly looking forward to inTENse and TapFactory. Check in starts next week, hopefully we are the lucky ones to get those coveted early slots. We definitely want to take advantage of every minutes on this ship. Aside from this being our Honeymoon, this is a much needed vacation overall as DH has had several surgeries this year, long hours at work, promotions for us both (yay), and overall wedding planning is just stressful. We are easy to please people and simply can not wait for this adventure. Hoping this first time cruisers perspective makes you giggle at what I find fascinating.
  5. Hi, If anyone who booked this ship is interested in joining our group for a share of the tour conductor credit(and possibly the discounted group rate for double occupancy rooms) , please contact me. Thanks Deepak 412-478-9776
  6. Does anyone have any thoughts about visiting the Kennedy Space Centre between back-to-back cruises? We're doing back-to-back 7 night Eastern/Western Caribbean cruises on Wonder of the Seas from Cape Canaveral this Winter. Is there enough time between disembarking one cruise and boarding the next? Kennedy Space Centre is a must-do for us and we don't want to rush it.
  7. I understand the lounge is connected to #CK and am trying to choose a dinner time. My crew really likes the appetizers before hand but we hit it early for a lite bite before sitting down for dinner. Does the happy hour service and small food offerings begin at 4:30 or 5:00? Thanks so much!
  8. I am booked on Wonder of the Seas for March '24. Looking at the water park and the discounted price is $188. All other posts seem to mention it is around $75 or less. Did they raise the price or will it get discounted more? Was also looking at the Cabana and Thrill Water Park combo but that is $1,699. Will these prices go down since we are so far out from our cruise date. It says only 7 cabanas left with the Thrill Park admission included.
  9. Hello everyone! I have been reading all the blogs on here for a while so I figured it was my turn to give one back for everyone to read! We were originally booked on Harmony in the Villa Suite, but the ship was changed to Wonder (which IS exciting). Only problem was that there is no Villa Suite on Wonder so we were moved into the Ultimate Family Suite. I am SUPER excited as this will be our first time in Star Class, but there is a lot of uncertainty for me around this suite. The layout of it onboard wonder is unknown (to me at least) and since we were expecting to have 4 bedrooms and bathrooms, we will need to do a little bit of rearranging where people will sleep. I am looking forward to everyone following along and excited of course for another cruise!
  10. Sailing Star class in A1 two bedroom Aquatheater suite on Wonder of the seas, June 5, 2022. Sailing with my wife and another couple from San Diego. Both couples are celebrating 10 years of marriage. Sometimes it only feels like 10 minutes…..underwater. Additionally departure day is both ladies birthday. The lovely brides are celebrating an undeclared age. We have Israel as our Genie. Have sent him dining requests. Waiting for entertainment schedule for show planning. Booked an excursion through Royal for all ports. Flying nonstop San Francisco to Barcelona two days before sailing. Waiting for June protocols for Booster since over 270 days since second vaccine dose. Will all get booster if necessary to avoid hassle of extra testing. Looking forward to this trip. I made booking on release day in December 2020 when ship was Allure. Kept same room with ship transition in September 2021. I will effort to answer any questions and post photos and updates along the way. Cheers!
  11. Looks like the aqua show on Wonder is ready and no longer an "aqua showcase" https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd7i7uEKg7z/
  12. Hello Everyone! Just booked a western Mediterranean out of Barcelona on Wonder cruising September 25th through October 2nd. We are staying at the Holiday Inn @city 22 a few blocks from the port. We are flying in a couple days early and are looking for ideas. Neither of us has been to Barcelona and we were hoping some of you have experience there and could give us some tips on how to spend a couple days.
  13. Hello, I have a coming cruise on May in the Wonder beginning in Barcelona. I’m a little lost, I book some excursions in the trip planner. When I need to pay the cart? At this time or when we are in the ship? I have an other question, if I took the Voom surf, can I use the what’sapp for making calls or making call using the wifi. many thanks in advance. Ariel
  14. I was looking at the new port canaveral sailings for wonder of the seas and it looks like they have updated the stateroom photos to feature the new room design. However, the new photo has only been updated on the ocean view balconies. It's interesting to see what the finished rooms will look like.
  15. CONFIRMED! #WonderOfTheSeas (海洋奇迹号) will set sail on her maiden voyage from her homeport in Shanghai on 23 March 2022 for a high seas voyage. Royal Caribbean International China will unveil Wonder in a live broadcast on 20 April 2021, with voyages expected to open for booking shortly after. Source: Singapore Cruise Society
