  1. Hi has anyone purchased The Key for a recent cruise? If so, how was the experience? Was it worth the money in your opinion? I have read reviews from other forums that gave it a somewhat mixed review. I’m curious to hear what seasoned RCCL patrons think of it. I’m new to RCCL, therefor I don’t qualify for any of the priority amenities yet. Thank you for any advice or comments in advance.
  2. Unfortunately, We were part of a Covid outbreak last week on our April 30th - May 7th Symphony of The Seas cruise. If you're curious to see how that went, here's the video of what all when on behind the scenes and how Royal Caribbean handled it. https://youtu.be/lErcDoCMZ44
  3. The time is finally approaching very quickly and I have officially decided to blog my vacation experience with the www (aka Royal Caribbean Blog)! I am Kayla (25f), a new mommy and newer wife to my wonderful husband Jake (26m). We will be cruising with our little girl, McKenzie (8 months), my mother, Kelly, father, Big Wayne., brother, Little Wayne, and brothers friend (ex boyfriend but friend still? I have no idea!), DJ. We will ALL be cruising on the March 19th sailing on symphony of the Seas in the 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater Suite! We are BEYOND EXCITED. I have so much excitement that I decided to live blog throughout our trip in order for me to calmly express my excitement for everything. I plan for this blog to mostly be about our experience with sailing Star Class mixed with sailing on Symphony mixed with sailing as first time parents. As you can read this trip is about all firsts! Feel free to join along with me!
  4. The “Symphony squad” kept asking me to join them on this sailing as we had last years canceled on us. I kept saying I couldn’t as my oldest sons favorite holiday is Halloween. There is no way I could leave the kiddos over Halloween! We had also just gotten off Oasis on Oct 17th which was an epic family trip!! We sailed on a staff assisted cruise with Autism on the Seas as all three of our children are on the autism spectrum. It was beyond fantastic in so many ways! A wonderful opportunity came my way after that cruise. My husband was onboard with the opportunity, and there I was, 9 days out, booking Symphony! The fun part was being able to tell the Symphony Squad I would in fact be sailing with them! I asked a good friend (who also sailed with us on Oasis) to join me as well. So this live blog will be about my second sailing on Symphony, reuniting with cruise friends, and Autism on the Seas as this is another staff assisted cruise for them. I will be documenting their week onboard. Here on the live blog there will be snippets of the program but feel free to contact me on here if you have any questions. I’m more than happy to help! https://autismontheseas.com/ And if you don’t know who is part of the Symphony squad, you’ll find out soon enough….
  5. We are visiting St. Thomas on Symphony in December (fingers crossed). Looking for guidance on what to do. We are doing both Labadee and Coco Cay, so not really looking for another beach day. Friends have suggested taking the gondola ride of the mountain, but I am terrified of heights, so that doesn't sound like a ton of fun to me. Any suggestions?
  6. I'm going on Symphony of the seas in March 2022. I looked at the port schedule for CocoCay and it looks like the day I'm visiting (March 18, 2022), both Symphony and Mariner are docking. How crowded would that be with 2 ships, especially the waterpark? I know Royal frequently docks 2 voyager class ships (ex. Navigator and Mariner), but I don't know about an Oasis class + Mariner.
  7. I am sailing on Symphony of the Seas in February, and I am thinking about buying the Unlimited Dining Package. Has anyone bought the package and had issues with finding reservations around 6:00-6:30? These are the ideal times for our group, as we plan to catch the 8:30 shows. Also, does it include Izumi Hibachi? Thank you! ?
  8. Hi first time RCCL guest here and first time cruiser. One week out from cruise date on Symphony of the Seas, and I just received an email notifying me of a delay for my previously scheduled check-in time of 12:30. The email stated that due to US Coast guard mandatory inspection, prior to the start of boarding, our check in time is pushed back to 1pm. Not a major issue, however I was planning on heading to the terminal early, to take advantage of avoiding the peak rush. Has any other travelers encounter this before? Is this normal procedure? Should I plan on not heading to the terminal as early, since I most likely won’t be able to board? Please advise. Thank you.
  9. Anyone else sailing on January 4th, 2020 and starting the new year right!? I guess this will be the unofficial group chat (unless there is already a thread for this, i apologize) Would love to coordinate to meet up with people for activities or excursions!
  10. Sooo.... I have a friend that I really want to bring on my Western Caribbean & Perfect Day Symphony of the Seas cruise. But, she has never been on a cruise ship before and says that she is scared of sloshing around in the ocean and getting seasick. I have already told her that the ship is so big that she won’t feel it move or get seasick, but she is still hesitant. Thanks! ?
  11. Has anyone stayed in a Promenade view cabin, please share your room pics/videos if you have. There seem to be just a few of these cabins on deck 7 on the Symphony of the Seas. They are spacious for an interior and have a window overlooking the royal promenade.
  12. I have spent so much time researching the excursions in Honduras and yet I still can not decide on one. Myself along with 32 of my guest will be on the symphony in July celebrating my 30th birthday. I was really leaning towards LFK with BFK access but the price has recently increased for some odd reason. That’s not necessarily a deal breaker for me but I’m not to sure about my other guests. I’m a little confused as to what is included with the LFK package as it doesn’t state much about it as compared to the LFK with BFK. The all inclusive Mayan princess resort also caught my eye but I haven’t found much info on it. All in all, I want a fun memory making day on the beach with my family and friends that include adult beverages, food , laughter, scenery, animals if possible, water sports, etc etc PLEASE I’m asking for any and all recommendations as I’d like to finalize the excursions for my group within a week or two. Thanks in advance
  13. Just wanted to share a video I recently produced during our Eastern Caribbean cruise onboard the Symphony! https://youtu.be/xoHpBLS2TvY

  15. First off because its the most important thing today ...... Its Single Digit Dance Day!! And now for something completely new, from me that is! A Live Blog (or as live as I can make it) from our 7 night sailing on Symphony of the Seas, March 2-9 with stops in Nassau, St Thomas, and St Kitts/Nevis. Just a little background info to get you as close to as excited as I am!! We booked this cruise in July 2017 at NextCruise on Anthem of the Seas! Anthem was the first cruise we had taken in 15 years!! h Symphony was still being built and we were stoked to book our first Oasis Class Ship. I have 9 more days to to tell you all about the rest of the firsts for this cruise so "Come aboard, we're expecting you!" Just, you know, a little larger....
