Hi We will be cruising out of NJ 10/27 on the Anthem. We will be driving down the night before from Boston area (close to RI border). WE will be driving in via Tappen Zee Bridge . This has been the highly recommended route for us. Does anyone have a good hotel recommendation in the vicinity of the port. We will be driving in and parking our car at the cruise port. We will be 2 couples requiring 2 rooms. We are hoping to get a place that is easy on/off the highway and hopefully free parking and includes a breakfast would be nice. As far as price I have seen many options under $150 range and hoping to stay in that ballpark. Our travel agent recommended the Fairfield in North Bergen. Someone else said we should stay in Paramus which is a little longer drive the next morning. How is staying along the Garden State Parkway? Is that a good commute into the port? Is it better to get as close as possible on Friday night? Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Karen

We are heading out on our cruise from Tampa this summer. We will be there early the day before. We DO NOT want to rent a car - with that. Do you recommend staying closer to the cruise port or would you go ahead and stay closer to the beach? ALSO - if the cruise departs at 4pm, what time should we board. Thanks everyone! My wife and i will be sailing the Jewel of the Sea the first week of April. We are flying into San Juan one day early. We are considering staying at the Courtyard San Juan Mirmar and I'd like any recent experiences. 1.) Is the hotel nice, clean and comfortable? 2.) Has the hotel recovered from the hurricane? 3.) Is the hotel convenient from the airport? 4.) Is the hotel convenient to Old Town? 5.) Is the hotel convenient to the cruise port? Any and all guidance will be appreciated. Brad

Way back in March I booked (using my United miles) the Sheraton Old San Juan for the night before our 1/7/18 Southern Caribbean Cruise. I've been hearing rumors about last minute hotel cancellations in San Juan either due to hotel hurricane recovery issues or hotels housing relief workers instead (some sources are claiming the hotels get more $$$ from the relief funds). I had not heard a peep from the Sheraton, but I decided to call today to check on my reservation and they advised me that they are not accepting guests until 1/8! I have since been on the phone with United who is telling me that the Sheraton is attempting to secure a reservation for me at a comparable hotel. I will give them a day or two before I fully panic and start calling again, but I am feeling quite nervous. Of course, I am very sympathetic to all the challenges and struggles that Puerto Rico is facing; still, I want to make sure we have a place to sleep that night! Anyone else experiencing these issues? Oh, and if you did the same thing as we did and planned to arrive in San Juan the day before the cruise, you may want to check on your reservation....

Hi folks, Looking for advice on a pre-cruise hotel in Fort Lauderdale for a May 2018 sailing on Harmony. Any input on quality of rooms, restaurants, pool, beach access, shuttle service to port, etc. would be helpful. Thanks

We have 8 people (adults and kids) going on a cruise in March and was wondering if it would be better to get an Air BNB property for all of us or hotel rooms? I normally stay at the Westin ft lauderdale Beach but it may be too expensive for the other people coming. Suggestions?

I am departing on Harmony of the Seas March 25, 2017. I arrive a day prior per RCCI recommendation. Anybody have a hotel recommendation that is close to the port, reasonably priced (trying to stay at or under $150), and provides transportation to/from FLL and/or Harmony of the Seas embarkation port? Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Hello. We are cruising out the port of Miami in April, and will be flying into Miami International Airport the night before our Cruise leaves. Where is a good place to stay overnight before cruising out the next afternoon? Are there any affordable places that still offer "free port shuttle?" We are Best Western Members, and usually use them, but before we book anything, I thought I might ask the pros on this Forum who cruise a lot more often than we do. :-) Doesn't need to be a fancy place since we're arriving at Midnight. Just want FREE shuttle to the Port, or affordable shuttle as well. Thanks Everybody~

Hello all! I know this may have been asked ad nauseum so mea culpa in advance. My wife and I will be taking a cruise on the Enchantment this October out of Miami. It will our first time out of PoM. As such I wanted to find a nice boutique hotel for the evening before embarkation. I have a couple of major hotels in mind but wanted something kind of cool and hip. ALSO I've wondered about renting a car. PoM (if my homework is correct) is not like PC in that we can rent a car at MCO and return it near the port. So my question is this: how does one rent a car and return it on embarkation day? Or is it even worth it if we are only going to be there for a day? I do not know how spread out Miami is or if cab/shuttle fares are reasonable. Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to book a hotel in Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise. Sailing on Harmony Feb 11th. We have stayed in the Atlantic before and although its ranked a 5 star, it wasn't worth the money. Looking for other suggestions, 4 stars and higher only. Many thanks!

Good evening, Any recommendations for a clean, decent hotel for night before cruise.. Would prefer to have a shuttle from Airport and possibly to the Cruise terminal. Thank you very much, Jill
