  1. Last week on Symphony both the café Promenade and Sorrento’s had only water to drink. I understand that Royal wants to increase their sales by selling more drinks or more drink packages. This should not be forced. The guests should have the option to decide if they want the included complimentary option or buy another drink. This should not be forced. Complimentary drinks are not really complimentary. They are included as part of the fare, therefore the customer is paying for them. They should be available 24/7 wherever there’s food and at multiple other locations.
  2. Questions regarding a comped cruise through the casino royale players program. I've always booked through a travel agency or directly with royal caribbean but for the first time I booked through casino royale for a comped cruise. The process was fairly easy, the agent asked me for the code provided on the e-mail and my C&A # to confirm my comp cruise. This is for Icon OTS in early March 2024 ocean view balcony room 7-nights western caribbean. Shortly after agent had me pay port/tax fees to lock in the booking the information was already showing on the royal caribbean app and website with my booking reservation #. Everything sounded too good to be true so I wanted to confirm, since they e-mailed a PDF statement of what it would have costed and it was well over $10,000usd for 2 people. All I had to cover was port/tax fees, prepaid gratuities and flight cost to from LAX to MIA. Questions: Am I allowed to change my sailing date after it was booked? Am I allowed to upgrade my cabin and pay the difference? Are there any limitations or difference compared to booking directly with royal caribbean or travel agency? If there are problems would I have to go through casino royale instead of royal caribbean? Has anyone else successfully/consistently booked through casino royale? If anyone has any additional input to add to this topic it would be much appreciated!
  3. We are cruising to Cuba next month. Since Empress is a tiny little lady we've been reading as much as possible from other folks who have sailed on her recently. Question. I saw on the RCI website that Empress offers "free Sunday brunch" everyday? Where is this onboard each day? Also, it stated that breakfast, lunch, and dinner was complimentary/free in the MDR? Is that true? See below: Enjoy complimentary multi-course dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Main Dining room. Choose to dine in our pre-determined seating or at your own time. Sunday Brunch every day with a complimentary Mimosa or Bloody Mary.
  4. So my question is, what is actually free in regards to food or anything liquid you consume? Is the tap water on the ship revolting? Should I even purchase the Evian bottled water? What food is actually free? (I'm aware there are specialty dining that are at additional cost) Is the captains dinner, fancy dining room free? I am purchasing the soda package, will i be charged for orange juice or black coffee in the morning during room service or on the main cafe? Sorry to bombard with so many questions, i've only ever cruised on a Carnival ship 9 years ago... And it feels like Royal Caribbean wants to bleed me dry of my money when they already charge a hefty amount for the cruise itself. Thanks in advance!
  5. I'm sailing on the Oasis for the first time. Does anyone know if RC has any type of complimentary drinks after so many points? When I've been on Carnival once you get 1500 points you get free drinks while you're in the Casino. Thanks, Jill
