  1. We are booked in grand suites on Allure of the Seas. I know we have access to Coastal Kitchen- is that for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner?
  2. Okay, question for all you suite snobs (affectionately, of course!): We will be on Oasis OTS in a CL for NYE. Does Coastal Kitchen do anything different for the NYE dinner? Trying to figure out if we should eat there for NYE or head to Giovanni's for their Holiday Dinner. Paging @Lovetocruise2002 and @WAAAYTOOO!
  3. I have seen many references to the joys and pleasures of CK. I have looked online for menus and they seem fine. Much on par with other specialty restaurants onboard. So it makes me wonder why such adoration for the venue? I have peaked in through the smoke glass before and it looks nice, albeit packed in tables. We are not MDR diners preferring the specialty restaurants most of the time but is it really worth all of the discussion? For our past 3 cruises we have moved up to Jr Suite so we have access for dinner but it actually seems a bother to beg/hope for an open reservation when Chops(or others) are almost always available to pre-book. So I ask.......Whats so special?
  4. Hello friends! Sailing a week from today on a 7 night out of PC. Planning on dining within CK for the week does anyone know if they offer a special "Holiday" menu for Thanksgiving Day? Staying in an OS, never heard any feedback from Royal Up albeit I sent in a minimum bid, not even a thanks but no thanks we are full. Expecting our contact from the concierge sometime this week, most likely in a few days as @WAAAYTOOO explains. If you do not have the UDP would you prefer CK or pony up for a specialty restaurant that evening? Thanks so much
  5. Please @Love2Cruise2002 & @WAAATOOO and anyone else who would like to chime in, we are sailing in 36 days and are told the sailing is pretty much full. Never heard anything from Royal Up yet so we will be in an OS deck 11. Our embarkation lunch we plan to go to the CK on 17, is this super crowded on embarkation day? With the SL open 11-11 can we get a glass of wine with lunch as the amenity? We have the refreshment package as when I did the math even with our max of possibly 4 glasses a day, and even that is a stretch, it would not make sense cost wise to purchase the DBP At what time should we expect to be allowed into our stateroom? I am a 50 something mom and I am excited like a little kid, I just can't wait. Any additional advice for this first time family? Thanks so much!!
  6. May I ask, does Coastal Kitchen serve an embarkation lunch? We are sailing in Sky class and prefer a more relaxed light lunch, any suggestions? I didn't purchase the key or specialty dining, figured we would make due with included offerings this first time out. Thanks so much for your input!
  7. We are booked on Oasis and Harmony in Crown Loft Suites, after our Radiance sailing this summer. Question on Coastal Kitchen: What to wear?! Can we wear jeans and a polo or crops and a polo? May forgo the Unlimited Dining package we purchased and go for the 3 night dining package, plus the Izumi hibachi, and spend the balance at CK. What are your opinions of adding Solarium Bistro into the mix? @Lovetocruise2002
  8. We may be joined by another family for our upcoming Oasis sailing. We will be staying in a Crown Loft Suite. They will not be staying in a suite. There are three of us and two of them. 1) will they be permitted to come to our suite for sail away, or to even just hang? 2) I understand Coastal Kitchen is for suite guests. Hypothetically, if my son did't want to eat there, could one of the members in the non suite party take his place? I'm doubting, but thought I'd ask. Many thanks! Let's Go Blues!!!!!
  9. My husband and I head out on Allure in 8 days. As this is our 10 year anniversary and our last cruise before we plan to start bringing our little kids with us, we decided to both upgrade to a JS and go for the ultimate dining package so we can try all of the restaurants. I'm wondering if it is still worthwhile to try dinner one night at CK since we already have the ultimate dining package. So, I guess my question is, would you rather dine at one of the specialty restaurants or at CK? Is it worth experiencing once? Thanks for your help! Maggie
  10. Hi Everyone, This week I was able to snag a "Deluxe Guarantee" room for my upcoming Anthem TA for just $150 more/person than my D5 Balcony. We were placed in a Spa Jr Suite that if booked directly is $650/person more. Needless to say, we are VERY excited. Wish there were more pictures and reviews of this category, however given the steep price tag, I wonder how many suites are usually booked. There awe ALOT of suites still available for our sailing. Now, I was wondering what experiences everyone has had with Coastal Kitchen. We will only be able to go for dinner, but thats still better than not going. Whats good there? Mel
