Hello, Has anyone taken the train from Venice to Raveena? If so, how was your experience?

Hi, there are 4 of us finishing our 7 night cruise from Athens to Venice…May 22 to May 29, 2023 anybody have advice on how to travel from the cruising port- Porto Corsini on May 29, 2023 to Venice? Rent a car or pay a driver or bus/train?

Hi we are sailing on Rhapsody out of Venice in May. There are 4 adults. Does anyone know the best way to transfer to the ship from the airport? We are flying straight in and out before and after our cruise with no real time to see Venice. I was thinking if there was a water taxi transfer to take in a little sights on the way to the ship. Has anyone previously done this or can give any advice? Thanks in advance David

I have never been on a cruise, nor have I been out of the US and will be taking my first cruise on Rhapsody May 23, 2020! Any tips, advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are planning to arrive in Venice the day before embarkation and will be going to Prague and Warsaw for a few days after the cruise.

Hi first time fly cruising on Rhapsody of the seas Greek islands in June. I was wondering what my options are on the final day having just received flights and transfer tickets today. It says we disembarked the ship at 10.00 am and taxi transfer to Marco polo airport for a 18.50 flight back to London I don't fancy 8 hours at the airport .

We are taking the risk of landing at our port of embarkation on the morning of the cruise, due to costly hotel fares in Venice. We are landing at 11.20 AM, and the ship sails at 5 PM. I think they mentioned that we would have to have our flight land before 2 PM to make it. I've since been in touch with Royal Caribbean and booked a transfer from the airport in Venice to the cruise port. Does anyone know how this transfer is organized? Will we have to wait until they've filled a whole bus of people (let's say that it will take a couple of hours), or will they cater to us personally (smaller car) or our flight time? I would much rather see Venice for 1 hour (even though very short amout of time) than wait in the airport for 1 hour or more.

From January 2014 the number of vessels weighing more than 40,000 tons authorised to cross the Giudecca canal — in front of St Mark’s Square, in the heart of the city – will be cut by up to 20% from 2012 levels. And in November 2014, ships weighing over 96,000 tons will be banned from the route completely. More info in the link above. This is one of the things on my bucket list so i better move quickly as it may not stop at the ships weighing the above and could possibly see them stopping all Cruise ships sailing up the Giudecca Canal in the next few years. I understand why they are doing this but it will be a shame to loose such a magnificent sail in view :( . Has anyone sailed into Venice and what are your thoughts on the possibility of this happening.
