Can we as a community maybe put together an identification of the different Junior Suites on the Odyssey? Calling Royal does not help, their room descriptions do not help. J1, J3. J4 I know equate to berths but the bathroom descriptions are what I would like to feel positive about, arriving at my chosen or assigned cabin I want to avoid a surprise. Is there a tub? Is there a shower? Are there 2 toilets on either side or just one? I was going to book a J1 because I love the aft but it looks like the corner J1 with the large balcony only has one bath, is this the same for the centrally located J1? Thanks everybody! I'm so confused.

Royal Caribbean’s ICON OF THE SEAS This was my first cruise ever and it exceeded my expectations. I traveled with my nephew and his in-laws (6) who are all big RC cruisers. I was not prepared for the quality of the staff, the food, the accommodations, the activities, and nightly parties at The Pearl (One Hit Wonders was WICKED BRILLIANT as was the Disco Party! Your entertainment rivals that of Broadway & Vegas in every way, I promise you. I have never seen an organization run more efficiently than RC from the second you make your reservations, step on the ship up to the minute you leave. We were "Key" holders and our staff in the Coastal Kitchen was top notch. Our Maitre'd, Suresh, our head waiter, Edwin and our mixologist, "Dr. Indy Jones" were all like welcoming, old friends. The food was exceptional, and the service far surpassed that. I was most impressed with the productions of The Wizard of Oz, The Aqua Show and the Ice-Skating production all blew my mind. As one of the country's first and top Plus Size designers and models from 1980-1998, I know design and those costumes and sets rivaled any production I’ve ever seen anywhere. Each venue was spectacular in its own right and each breathtaking, to say the least. I know the work that goes into those productions and couldn't find fault with anything. I even had a special leg treatment at The Spa by Susan (Kenya) that was incredible and wish I had visited her sooner for a much needed mani and pedi. Having been a hairdresser and salon owner in my younger days, I know full well what's involved. She's excellent at what she does, passionate about RC and just the kindest person ever. We took the exceptional All Access Tour of the ship. Our guides, Therrie and JuJu (Brazil) were very passionate about the ship, RC and everything they do, also. My favorite was visiting Cap't Loy on the Bridge. Being a former Private Pilot and amateur race car and race boat driver, I was particularly interested in how the Cap't steered that behemoth! Now I know. Cap't Loy was kind enough to give us a more thorough tour than want is the norm and I loved every second of it. As far as I'm concerned, there is no other cruise line that can even come close to comparing with Royal Caribbean and the Icon of the Seas. PS: Two things I do have a beef about: not enough regular electrical outlets in the cabins and the Pet Accessories Sale items were ordinary at best. I also designed and manufactured Canine Couture for my company, Snob Hounds (SnobHounds.com), for many years, so I know exceptional and unusual when I see it. I volunteer to be RC's buyer for that venue! Great idea, not great execution. Just sayin'. I could go on and on and on about my wonderful experience with RC's Icon of the Seas, but suffice it to say, Royal Caribbean is THE Icon of Cruise lines. I promise you. I was totally blown away by the entire experience. (However, St. Kitts is less than we expected. ) And if I had my little, 8-pound, Service Dog with me, I could stay on that ship for an extended tour! Most sincerely, Laura Dion-Jones Casey

Going on Oasis of the Seas next July, and I was wondering if the shop on board sells different model ships, not just the one you are on. For example, if you are on board Mariner of the Seas, could you buy a scale model of Liberty of the Seas, or would you have to go on that ship to get that model? I would really like to get a couple of different models on board.

We had a great time on our 4 night Bahama and Coco Cay cruise on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas, but trying to get off of the ship was a disaster. We were given a time to get off of 9:10 so we got up at 6:00 to be sure to be out of the stateroom by 8:00 as requested and still have time to get a bite to eat before going to our appointed area.We had a lot of walking to do and when we got there we were told to go back to where we had just come from and just get in line. When we got there it was bedlam, there was one line and every one coming from all parts of the ship had to get into 1 line. I found out later that only one gangway was open. I am sure we walked for more than an hour. Our driver was there waiting for us since 10:00 and it was well after 11:30 when we finally got off of the ship. My main complaint is that with the ship wifi why could they not let us know that we were going to be in line for quite a while and maybe make some accommodations for th older people who, like me have trouble walking and standing for a long time, My friend an I are both 80 years old and this was dreadful after a wonderful cruise.

we check into our cruise in about 14 hours but my 2nd guest, last minute literally a few hours ago, told us she can't go because of work. after 3 hours I found someone who would be willing but at that time I could not go and change my 2nd guest name. I tried calling and they said I can't change anything because the manifest was sent out already. am I able to change her name to my new guests' name at the ship through guest services? is there a fee? this was all very last minute and rushed. thanks !

I am not going to sugar coat anything. I am here on the Symphony of the Seas, for my 3rd week, with three (3) more to go! The ship is beautiful and for the most part, staff & guests wear masks. However, there are occassional anti-maskers who would rather fight than mask up! Staff always thank me, after I try to nicely ask guests when they are violating my space, especial when I am eating or trying to board an elevator. But there were a couple of close calls. One big guy at the Spa found it important to yell at me after I asked him to mask his 2 year old where I was eating in the Vitality Cafe. He screamed at me to stay inside my cabin and to have a kid! Which made me realize the poor guy was probably pretty stressed on his vacation & he thought I should be punished too. (?). Another time a young girl with a hot boyfriend walked past me while I was talking in the Art Gallery about a painting and I looked her way & laughed as we noticed her wearing her mask on her chin. The curator walked over to her & asked her to put her mask on and with that, she ran over to me, screaming that I could have asked her to wear her mask. I informed her that I wasn't her babysitter and to just "wear your mask" and suddenly her boyfriend was holding her back while she squirmed and looked as if she wanted to fight me. I just laughed. She was obviously drunk and couldn't read me properly, cuz I don't play. She tried coming back at me and her best shot was walking passed me, minutes later, blowing her nose in the air with no hanky. Classy!!! LoL (Coincidentally, it was Formal Night.). I wonder if she kisses her boyfriend with that nasty mouth?!) Should we talk about the casino now?! They have a new pilot program. Regular gamblers may not care or notice, but high rollers may be or will get pissed off. I have addressed this several times over 3 weeks and FINALLY believe I have the full scoop, although they say NOTHING is in writing, but that their rules & promotions can change at any time! Sure, change, but give me what you have NOW, in WRITING!!! (Nope, they won't!) Let me know, if you would like the scoop on what I learned from MY mistake!!!

I had my daughter very late in life so basically I'm super old! She would be 16 in 2022. We are really interested in a RCCL sailing in Europe, we love to travel and are ready to spread our travel wings. Thoughts on an itinerary that we can navigate together including a longer sailing 7 nights + and the flight to embarkation port city as well as hotel accomodations and finally safe transportation to the ship itself. I will have my MEI guru Sharla book everything for us and we were leaning towards Italy and Greece but wondering for those of you who have done something like this about your experience. What would you do? Suggest? We have travelled together to parts unknown before but only in the States, I appreciate your thoughts on our dream mother daughter sailing! Thanks so much!

My wife and I are going on the Navigator OTS soon and we are doing an excursion, the Dolphin Push, Pull & Swim Experience in George Town, Grand Cayman. Has anyone done this excursion that has any tips, advice or experiences that they would like to share? It’s hard to find reviews and we just want to know what to be prepared for. All I know for sure is to not bring a camera. Is there a safe place to store your items while you are in the water? Thanks for any responses!

I have been hearing lots of rumors and speculation about this, but wanted to know what you have heard. What are your opinions about which ship will prospectively replace Anthem of the Seas in Bayonne, NJ when she sails to the UK in 2020?

My family and I are driving 26 hours to Port Everglades for our cruise on the RC Harmony of the seas. We found out that airfare over spring break is $1000 per person....crazy! I know, we are also crazy for driving this far but I am afraid we have no other choice. I just have no idea what to do or where to go as far as when we enter Port Everglades. Can someone guide me along. Thanks in advance.

Like how constable145 found out about Rhapsody getting put up for buyers, on Boats.com, Grandeur of the Seas has also been put up for sale for 300,000 USD. The title is listed as Cruise Ship 2400 Passengers -Stock No. S2388. Since two vision class ships were launched in 1996 that look similar, (ie the Enchantment) I took into account the passenger counts of both ships (remember Enchantment was lengthened in 2004, which increased the passenger count to 2,730 passengers. We can also most likely rule out Enchantment as the price to lengthen the ship was so much that I would assume that they would prefer to keep the ship sailing under Royal's colours for a little while longer. See it for yourself: http://uk.boats.com/power-boats/1996-cruise-ship-2400-passengers-stock-no-s2388-4886313/#.WZQSzFF97cs

Thinking about doing an Eastern Caribbean cruise, would be flying from Manchester, England. The price of the whole cruise comes out at £3939 for Allure and £4029 for Oasis, so not worried about the price. Are there any differences in service/food quality or any noticeable things that differ these ships from one another?

Hi All I have just been on my first Royal Caribbean cruise and loved it. I had an amazing deal around the Med which included a free deluxe drinks package, free wifi, all gratuities and a BOGO deal, booked 9 months before cruise date! Was a steal! I am now looking at my next cruise to Bermuda and Bahamas on the Grandure of the Seas in May 2018. However, when i phoned for a quote there were no inclusions just the standard 20% off deal which seams to be on most of the time anyway. So to seasoned Royal Caribbean customers my question is how much sway do the agents have? If i push them will they give me freebies or am i best to wait for a better promotion to pop up? Thanks

I am looking at booking a room and Grandure of the Seas for 1 person. Does anyone have any tips on keeping the price down, at present i am looking at a full 2 person price with just port taxes reduced?

Hi all. I'm planning on treating my favorite aunt to an Alaska cruise in May 2017. As I'd like to book the cruise as early as possible, I'd like to know when Royal Caribbean will announce their Alaska cruise schedule for 2017. When do they usually announce their Alaska cruises for the following year?

Hi, Several months ago I read the Royal Caribbean was coming back to Boston to offer a 7-Day Bermuda Cruise in the Summer of 2015! I got excited as I am a loyal RCL cruise and got a bunch of friends and family interested in going (like over 30 people). Since then I have not seen any cruise set up for this on the RCL Site? I've seen plenty of 2015/2016 cruises already and Boston Cruises to Canda or the Caribbean, but what about Bermuda? Can you tell me if this is going to happen? I hope so, like I said there is a huge interest here in Boston for it. Thanks in advance....
