  1. Hello Everyone, I have recently been looking into the various Credit Card / OBC / Stocks / Casino Rewards (other?) options offered by Royal / Celebrity. What is the most useful option or combination of programs to earn discounts/ credits / and the illusive 'Free Cruise'? May your ship lead you to warm sands, TwoCanSailAway
  2. Hi Everyone, I tried searching back boards, but did not find anything, so my apologies if this has been covered before (I bet it has!). I have roughly 100,000 RC credit card points that I have been saving for a long time. I need to use them before some start to expire soon. Anyway, does anyone have any good tricks for getting the most bang for your buck? For example, the cruise for 2 says it will cover an outside view room.. can we use that value towards a balcony or even a suite on the same sailing? Or should we stick to onboard credits, knowing we usually don't spend too much money on excursions or drinks. Thanks in advance! Mel
  3. My wife and I have racked up some points on a Royal Caribbean credit card. We redeemed the points as on board credit a month ago but here it is 24 days to cruise and nothing has shown up on our Royal Caribbean account. My question is for those of you who may have redeemed these points in the past. In your experience, how long before the cruise was your on board credit applied? Drink package is on sale... 3 night specialty dining is on sale, I'm ready to buy with the credits I've earned, but .... nothing.
  4. Royal Caribbean is running a bonus offer (it says limited time, but I think I see it fairly often) on their Visa card for new accounts . By making just one purchase you get 10,000 bonus points which is good for $100 on board credit. And if you spend $1000 in 90 days you get an additional 5000 points. Tip: Don't put your significant other as an authorized user---get a second card and you could end up with up to $300 OBC. Here is the link to apply.
  5. Hi Everyone, I have the Royal Caribbean credit card issued from Bank of America. Has anyone tried to redeem points from their card for use as on board credit? I did this, but it hasn't shown up in the cruise planner on my active reservation. I contacted Royal Caribbean and they said it doesn't show up until about 2 weeks before the sail date. I was hoping to use the on board credit to purchase items through the cruise planner, but I've ended up paying separately for some items like the beverage package when it went on sale and didn't want to miss out on the sale price. It seems like the points really are only intended to be used once you are on board and not beforehand. I was hoping someone else has tried this and could share their experience. Cheers!
  6. Question: I paid for cruise with a credit card and will be using a different credit card for my onboard purchases/expenses. When I go to board it says I need to show credit card & sign for it. Do I need to bring both or just the one I am going to be using? (I am not using the first one...just used it to pay for the cruise.)
