Unfortunately its not 30 days from when you cancel. Its 30 days from when their computer system cancels you. My March 21 cruise got canceled and I have called a few times and they told me the computer didn't officially cancel me until March 20 so I have until April 20 to get it.. Yours might not have been "canceled" in the system until this past Friday. I really don't know but its 30 days from whenever it got "canceled" in their system.. My May 7th cruise got canceled on March 24 but still shows active in the system. Its very frustrating but that's the way it is. I suggest you call Royal and ask what date you got canceled in their system so you know when your 30 days starts.

Can't you just look at your reservation on their website and if it's still there it's not canceled.

I booked a cruise to the Bahamas in August and the final payment is due the beginning of May. I only put down a $250 deposit but my dilemma  is whether to cancel and request a refund before the final due date or could I ask if the deadline for final payment be extended? If I don't cancel, they will take the amount due from my credit card and I don't want to lose my money.

    Any suggestions?

If you have a refundable deposit I would cancel ASAP. However if you have NRD you might gamble that they end up canceling and getting your full amount back.

I still think it's unfair how the cruise industry is called out on this while it happens every day in life.

Someone with the virus rode a train last week.  Hundred exposed to that person in close quarters.  Someone with the virus went to the grocery store.  Hundred exposed to that person in close quarters.  Someone went to church two weeks ago with the virus.  Hundred exposed to that person in close quarters.  Those hundreds that have been exposed are now in the community spreading it.  Yet when the same thing happens on a ship it makes the front page.

In Colorado there are 277 cases with 2 deaths.  No cruise ships here.  We have lots of people flying in to go skiing, bringing the virus with them, in an airplane in close quarters with hundreds of others.

    I agree 100% with this.

Any word on the new amp date ,  I was on the allure a few months ago and it need refurbishment very bad even running on one engine ,  i booked the allure this February 2021 only because it was getting a complete over haul ,  any ideas if this refurbishment will be done this year 2020 ??????????

Please try not to post false information she was not running on one engine. She has 3 azipods that run on electric power and one has bearing problem. She has 6 Wartsila engines (3 18,590 hp and 3 24,780 hp) connected to generators supplying power to the ship & Azipods.

Per the Office of the Governor:

"The only exceptions to this order are the Carnival Pride and the RCL Grandeur of the Seas, which are due to return to port in the coming days, provided that no person on board such vessel has a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 or is under investigation for COVID-19."

Great, Porto Rico is denying Freedom and she has to sail to Miami to discharge her passengers.

This is probably why RC is doing this! It's almost certain that if an elderly person went on a cruise and contracted Covid -19 the family of those concerned would be taking legal action against RC for allowing them on the ship knowing there was a chance they could get it.

I might be wrong but I thought any age group can contract Covid-19 However older folks have a higher mortality rate. So everyone has a chance they could get it

Operative word “almost”. If you want the fastest (certainly not cheapest) way to park them there is no better option then the T18 lot.

And sometimes P&G is faster, example I left 18 on Serenade and returned to 29. Huge line for shuttle bus to 29. No wait for P&G.
