  1. Is there a limit per person? We would like to purchase some rum and tequila while in port. I know they take it and return it to you the night before you disembark. We do not plan on buying a case. Just did not want a surprise when we went to reboard. Thanks Lisa
  2. Newbie here.....How do you get to be a Diamond Member?
  3. Thanks! How do I find out if they are going to do a tender ticket?
  4. Can you rent chairs and umbrellas? Do you remember how much it was to rent these? I think I read there is a place to buy food and drinks. Is there showers to rinse off and areas to change in? Thanks! Lisa
  5. I have seen a couple of comments about packing a small fan for white noise and travel steamers. Irons are out of the question! What is everyones experience on these items. I have a travel steamer and had considered taking it. I originally bought some wrinkle release. THANKS! I do need white noise to sleep.
  6. Will the shops be open early? We have not booked our beach excursion yet, so I am not sure what time we will be picked up.
  7. When Getting off in Grand Cayman do you just get in line and wait for your turn to board the boat? We tender at 10:30 am, what time should we get in line? I would assume if you want to be back on the ship by 5pm, you should get in line at the port about 4pm? Sorry about all of the ???? I like to be prepared!!!! Thanks again! L
  8. Hi Y'all My name is Lisa and my husband is Ron. We are going on our first cruise with our friends in four weeks out of Baltimore on the Granduer. We are from Williamsport, Pa. So very excited about this new adventure!!!! Thank you for all the advice you have given! so appreciated!!! :)
  9. Feb 21 2015 Granduer from Baltimore for 10 days Western Caribbean, our first. I hope we like it! Since we booked our second one for Feb 13 2016 from Baltimore on the Granduer for 8 days to the Bahamas!!!!! :P  Lisa
  10. If we dock in Falmouth at 7am and have a RC excursion booked (RED STRIPE BEACH) what time should we get in line to get off the ship? We are early birds. If we spend a few hours at the beach and want to come back for lunch on the ship, can we get back off the ship again and do a hour or so shopping and maybe Jimmy Buffet's? Ship leaves at 4pm and we are going on the Granduer. From the pics I have seen, it looks like the port there is easy off and on access. Am I expecting to much and should just eat in the port that day? I am a little nervous about Jamaica, I just want to enjoy. I do not want to be looking over my shoulder all the time and worrying about the vendors etc. Thanks!!!!! L
  11. We are going on a 10 day Western Caribbean. Can you purchase drink package the last half of the cruise? I thought I seen a post that you could use your drink package on Labadee.
  12. Has anyone been on the RC excursion to Red Stripe Beach? I do not mind paying for each of us to take the bus, if it is worth it. This is our first cruise and I would like to visit a beach area at each port of call. Being from PA we do love a nice beach! Thanks! Lisa
  13. Is there a freestyle machine on the Granduer? Do they usually have a variety of coke products? Are they good about keeping it filled? Thanks!
  14. Is MTD with a reservation faster service? We are going with another couple and would prefer to be seated with them only. Our TA scheduled us for traditional dining. I am thinking MTD and making our reservation time would be the best for us. What times do they start seating for MTD? When is the last seating time for MTD? traditional has two times early and a late only? THANKS AGAIN! Lisa
  15. We will be leaving out of Baltimore. ( Our first cruise) This may sound silly, but I am assuming the Captain makes announcements periodically. I want to make sure I am able to see the Bridge when we go by it. I was told it should be about 11-11:30 pm. In case I forget, is this something he may announce? We have driven over it several times during the day, but would love to see it by ship and at night.....We are going on the Granduer. The Viking Lounge would be the best place? Would deck 11 or 12 give the best view of that and the Annapolis bridge? Thanks! Lisa
  16. Is it a frig or just a small cooler?
  17. Do you think they would allow us to take a cooler, a medium size one on wheels with a handle. Could we just stick a luggage tag on it? We wanted to keep in our room for drinks.
  18. Can you go in anytime that the windjammer is open and get a complementary drink- iced tea, water? Is it ok to bring your own travel cup to fill? Also when leaving the ship, can you take a drink off with you in a travel cup or a bottle of water?
  19. Is the room service list on the tv in your room? Someone mentioned you can fill out a door tag the night before and hang outside you door by 3am with a time on it for delivery for breakfast. Is the rest of the day a call in of your request?
  20. The shows on board all take reservations? Is there a list of shows and when? I guess I thought they are not posted until the daily compass comes out.
  21. My husband is a big eater. When seeing pics of the meals they serve in the MDR, he commented he will have to stop at Windjammer too. A friend told us he always orders two meals when he eats at the MDR on Carnival. Some times it is the same thing and other times he has two different items as well as deserts. Is this allowed on Royal Caribbean?
