  1. The compensation offered is:

Free internet and 1/2 price drinks. 50% of cruise fare. 50% of cruise fare as FCC. They are also paying upto $ 250 USD for changes to domestic flights or up to $ 250 USD per stateroom for up to 3 nights accommodation.

They will not be arriving back to Sydney until 8pm on Tuesday. 9

i assume they will be able to stay on the ship that night as it would be difficult to get to accomodation at that time.

  2. On one of our cruises stopping at Picton we hired a car and drove to Wither Hills winery in Blenheim for lunch.

i don’t drink but the rest of the family enjoyed their wine tasting and lunch. Blenheim also has the amazing Omaka air museum with immersive dioramas  designed by Sir Peter Jackson and Weta workshops. You have to see it to believe it.

In Wellington Te Papa museum also has Peter Jackson’s Gallipoli exhibit and Weta workshops are also located in Miramar for those who, like Lord of the Rings.

    cabin-mates could have access

They still have to purchase their own drinks (or use a voucher) so there is not a significant benefit for the non-pinnacle apart from being able to sit in a lounge that is more exclusive. To me, this seems more onerous on the wait staff who in theory now need to check whether the guest is eligible for a "free" drink. I feel that in practice, the non-pinnacle will also get free drinks.

I agree.  It’s very oddly worded.

Especially as @Matt said in his article

"Adding the new benefit means Pinnacles can bring friends they know on the ship with them to enjoy the reserved space.  Prior to this change, the benefit was only applicable to the Pinnacle Club guests."

Which would not be correct, if they have to be in the same cabin.

  5. I tried a slot tournament on Quantum for the first time this week. I think multiple tournaments ran over the week of the cruise.

i really enjoyed it, it was $25 buy in and $20 re-buy.

There were numerous qualifying rounds followed by a final for the top 12.

first prize was $500, I can’t remember whether it was casino play or a cash prize.

Maybe I will get one of these offers, but I seriously doubt it. ☹️

lots of damage and water coming in

Is the article below regarding some flood damage in January 2024 the damage you are referring to?

if so, I would not be concerned. They can/will replace any damaged carpet and there will certainly be no concern for your cruise next year. You will never know that it happened.

We are scheduled to go on Voyager next year to Croatia and we have no concerns whatsoever.

We have been on Voyager many times, you will find it a great ship, perfect for the itinerary you are doing with plenty to keep you busy.

‘Enjoy planning your cruise, and do not concern yourself with this news, you have made the right choice.

This week for the specialty dinner photos, they were giving a link to the digital version with the purchase.

They didn’t provide this option to us, and you could not view the photos in the photo gallery. They were only available for purchase directly from the photographer.

Perhaps it is something they are trialing on certain ships, as some seem to have experienced it while others have not.

Also, we were trying to use our C&A free photo coupon as we have done in the past, but it is no longer available for use with specialty restaurant photos.

I HATE that a junior suite is called a suite but treated like a second class suite

This is further clouded by the fact that there are now Sky Junior Suites.

What I personally dislike is that Coastal Kitchen is listed as a benefit of a Junior Suite, yet Royal Caribbean potentially limits your access simply because it is a Junior Suite. Full suite guests can book early through the concierge, securing reservations before you board, leaving very limited availability for Sea Junior Suites, or with only unfavourable dining times remaining.
