Did this just before Xmas 2022 on Explorer - what a complete waste of money. Waiting for ages on cococay to be picked up. (was moved from 9.30 to 13.30 due to wonder being in) We wasn't given the opportunity to feed them ourselves. Only about 10 pigs on beach. I think it is on the verge of cruelty.........

Was on Explorer over Xmas and this is our first RC cruise where the Cafe Promenade Barista coffee was closed from 10pm-6am. We have been on 4 other ships (pre and post covid) and have always been able to get barista coffee earlier than 6am ( we are early risers)

did Explorer for Xmas and New Year last week.
Aaprt from the big Xmas Tree, the boat was not very festively decorated.
The MDR menu was the same (25th/31st) apart from Beef Wellington was changed to Filet Mingon.
The Xmas headliner show was awful.
Barbados was complete carnage as too many people and not enough buses
Most of the entertainment was poor and Elvis is the worst Entertainment Director we have ever seen.

Were you on the boat at the time and if so did they give details about this? was it coming soon when amp'd or when in dry dock later this month? travelling on this ship later in the year and would be great if they can modernise the boat a little.
yes - was actually on boat fron 18th dec 2022- 2 jan 2023 (6+9 B2B) Going to Cadiz for dry dock

Another case of protocols working. Not newsworthy.
Seriously if every employer and every school tested everyone every week there would be hundreds and thousands of cases popping up. Media would ignore it until one person said they were on a cruise ship, then it would make headlines.
Stop reporting these things and stop clicking on the stories. The site traffic drives media to create more headlines like this.
well said - in the uk we are testing 15 times more people than other european countries but only have the same numbers of positives per 100k

Neither. They have some flown in fresh every morning, direct from Maine. They'll keep in a cooler for several days if they don't sell as many as expected each night.
your obviously not up early enough to see the helicopter drop them off every day......

will be interesting to see how it is policed as the UK are not giving people who have had the jab a covid passport

P&O has been cancelled into mid April 2021 for sometime, so not a surprise. With rates rising again inEurope, i would be surprised if any cruises go in Europe until the Autumn, so if RC cancel the whole summer it wouldn't be a surprise.

Yep, you can choose to apply it to an existing booking or a new one once you get the FCC.
Unlike P&O where it has to be a new booking - all you can do is pay the 'upgrade' for an existing booking

Is this true when on board? Zero reservations for shows except for Quantum and Oasis class? We are on Indy this coming July and Grease is a must. What would be a suggestion for how soon do you get in line to make sure to get a spot for the show?
Agree with the previous post re: 'Grease' - this was very popular on indy and the queue was massive, even for the afternoon show!!

When will RCL announce the itineraries for summer 2022?

Rumours are that Spain will get the green light but the jury is still out on Portugal due to a current spike in Lisbon, although I expect the situation to be reviewed on a fortnightly basis and we still have just under 4 months until sail date. In my view, worst case is we skip Madeira but I don't think it will come to that.
Spain have banned cruise ships indefinitely
