  1. We ate at Sabor on Harmony last week. It was our first time with Sabor on any cruise. It was ala carte despite reservations prior to the cruise asking for $15 / head (thank goodness I cancelled my reservation prior to the cruise). We really did enjoy the guac, but were not very happy with anything else and thought the menu was very limited. The kids wanted queso with chips and the waitress went over to Johnny Rocket's and brought back some of the orange nacho cheese and the kids loved that. Except maybe for a snack of chips/quac/drink, I don't see us returning there in the future.
  2. Hi all, We just got off the Harmony yesterday ... awesome time. We booked for summer 2018 while onboard at the NextCruise desk. My question is... should I have the reservation transferred to a travel agent? Is there any advantage to doing this? Thanks!
  3. I am confused about texting with Royal iQ on the Harmony. Is a VOOM package required to text others on the ship or will it work without?
  4. Thanks for this tip. Just ordered mine!
  5. I think I messed up. I had been seeing the Voom ad in the cruise planner with a discount ribbon across it, but now that I finally decide to buy it, I don't see any kind of discount. I leave in 2 weeks on the Harmony for 7 nights and am wondering if they pull the discount at 14 days out. Right now it says 1 device is 11.99 per day. Is this the rack rate? To be specific, I a looking for a 4 device package for the 7 days. And I am a gold member. So at this point, should I wait to buy hoping for a sale? Or buy onboard? Thanks in advance to the experts out there.
  6. I know that St Barts was offered as an excursion from St Martin in the past by Royal. I am pretty sure it was when we were on the Oasis last May. But we are sailing on the Harmony on April 1 and I don't see it now. Does anyone have experience with this? Or know why it would be pulled? Thanks!
  7. Now that Harmony has switched Sabor from ala carte to a $15 cover I am wondering if it is worth $90 for my family of 6 to eat there. I saw some of the specialty restaurants charge less for kids. Does anyone know if this is true for Sabor?
  8. thanks for the answers! i really don't love the idea of having to get her card every time i go to get us a couple drinks. but given the bundled deal on drink package and internet that I just saw, I can't pass it up...
  9. This was a mess for me. I am going the first week in April on Harmony and initially had a free reservation at Sabor for my family of 6 (2 adults + 4 kids). Last week, I went to switch nights due to competing plans and it made me pay $15 a person. Of course, I hadn't read this thread yet and was confused by the web page showing ala carte pricing, the $15 charge, and the fact that I was changing a reservation by one night. It took me 3 calls to get a straight story on what was happening. The real frustration here for me is I am sure I would have spent way less ala carte with 4 kids. (Certainly not $90.)
  10. Sorry...I am sure these are answered somewhere but I couldn't find them. We are heading out on the Harmony the first week of April and trying to decide about the drink package. We were on the Oasis last May (2016) and didn't buy one. I think on most days the package will be worth it but it's not a complete slam dunk. I have some detailed questions though..... 1) I usually get 2 drinks from any given bar. One for me and one for my wife. (Once in a blue moon, she may go to a bar to bring a drink back to the room for me.) Assuming we both get the drink package, how does this work? So, do I have to bring her card? Or can I just use my card and tell them I have 2 drink packages? 2) Can I use the drink package to get smoothies from Vitality cafe? 3) Where on Harmony can we get "premium coffee" using the drink package? I know it doesn't work at Starbucks and was struggling to remember where on the Oasis they even had premium coffee. Thanks in advance!
