  1. Maybe one of those latest "speakies" :)
  2. Do they generally show a movie every night or only a couple of nights during a cruise? Does it depend on the cruise? We'll be sailing on Serenade in Oct.
  3. I think some people just have a bad image in their head when you say "buffet." Like a great big school cafeteria. We ate at Boma in Walt Disney World at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and it was fantastic. A great variety of foods, but cooked in small batches. That's the way to do a buffet!
  4. Oh sure! Just because they're from Canada, they must like poutine, eh?
  5. Those are probably the same people "reserving" all the pews in church on Christmas and Easter!
  6. I've heard good things about Costco Travel. How were the savings over booking through RCCL or a travel agent? Any other benefits?
  7. Kind of like people of Walmart. Who or what is the most unusual people of thing you've seen on a cruise? Just curious, as I love to people watch!
  8. I was just curious as I have the Royal Replenish pkg and will be frequenting Café Latte-tudes, quite a bit during our cruise. Was confused a bit about them saying that you could not use the plan where they served Starbucks, but reading further I see they mean only the Starbucks "stores" on certain ships. I guess it doesn't matter much either way, I still can't drink coffee with out cream and sugar. :)
  9. Maybe they will let people do that for a charge. It would be another income source if this room service fee doesn't pan out.
  10. I've read some conflicting info about Starbucks on board. Do all or some Café Latte-tudes serve Starbucks? Or is it only served at Starbucks branded stores on certain ships?
  11. Good to know. What about debarkation? Is it like a hotel with a check out time?
  12. Well, at least I have the free room service to look forward to! Oh, wait a minute.
  13. Is anything open for breakfast on debarkation morning and what's the latest time you can debark? We will have an early afternoon flight and won't be in a hurry.
  14. Also another smart thing to do. Lock the potential lower price in now and then change or cancel later without any penalty.
  15. I'm assuming that any upgrade, if available, would be a paid upgrade? Especially for first time cruisers, like ourselves.
  16. I know that I'm still not able to book dinner reservations yet for our cruise Oct 1, although a RCCL rep told me on the phone, they would be available 7mos out.
  17. Related to the question above. Has anybody ever upgraded on embarkation day? I know usually all cabins are filled by then, but still curious. If so, was the cost the same as if you did it before embarkation?
  18. Just wondered what service would be like while docked in Halifax and St. Johns?
  19. Thanks, this is good to know. Probably will carry it quite a bit as it's larger than a regular glass, but probably not to the restaurants.
  20. We have Verizon as our phone service and will be on the Serenade of the Seas in Oct. I've checked with Verizon, and Canada is included in our No Limit Plan. Has anybody had issues with service either in Canada or Maine ports with Verizon? With the slow and some what expensive internet service on board ship, we thought his would be a way to stay connected to home via phone and internet service while in port.
  21. What about Spotted...? Nevermind
  22. Like Bangers and Mash, Bubble and Squeak and Toad in a Hole?
  23. Oh, ok. Good to know about that. Gotta love that auto correct. My sons phone once auto-corrected his ex-girlfriends name to Satan. Alas, the phone turned out to be correct!
