  1. My favorite as of today is the Radiance class ships (have sailed on the Radiance, Serenade & Jewel) but in a couple of months, I'll be sailing on a Vision Class ship (Rhapsody) for the first time; I hear that I should expect to fall in love with it. The Navigator, Allure and Liberty can be rather busy at times depending upon the itinerary. For example, I sailed the Allure on a transatlantic - the ship was not sold out but it was very busy at peak times; was not fond of the long lines.
  2. DH and I will be cruising B2B on the Rhapsody of the Seas in April & May 2017 and celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary on the Independence of the Seas in October 2017.
  3. Hi everyone! My husband & I started cruising in 2002 but we fell in love with cruising in Sept 2003 on the Vancouver cruise terminal dock waiting to board the Radiance of the Seas! We are from the metro Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA area but originally from the western suburbs of New Orleans, Louisiana. After we retired, we were able to take longer cruises and to our surprise, we thoroughly enjoy Transatlantic cruising. When we are not cruising, I keep a watchful eye on the webcams out of Galveston, Port Everglades, Miami and now Tampa since our next cruise will start from that location. My hubby has posted on these discussion boards for a few months now and at his urging, I just recently signed on. I hope to learn some things from y'all as well as sharing my cruising knowledge and experience with you all.
  4. I download several books from my local library to my Kindle fire. On Transatlantic cruises, I enjoy spending some time in the afternoon reading them on my balcony or in the Solarium. I can also read on those looooooooong flights over the pond. I can adjust the font size to suit my liking, it is lightweight as others have already pointed out and the screen auto adjusts to the light. Thanks to many of you for some book suggestions for my upcoming T/A in April!!
  5. The white noise from the propeller wash is very calming, IMO. Reminds me of the wave action on the southern states' beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Love the walk from those aft balconies....working off some of those cruising calories!!
