  1. Why get a balcony? Why not just get an inside cabin or a closet? Oh wait - maybe some people relax in their own way. I cruise twice a year - my wife goes to the casino - I love the cabin that I pay for - door open and my tv on as I enjoy myself. Don’t be so judgmental.
  2. Hmmmm - why not spend the day relaxing on the ship or on shore and come back to the cabin, open the balcony door and relax while watching some tv? Or why get a room with a balcony or even a window? You’re on a CRUISE. See - how that doesn’t make sense? I cruise twice a year - the wife goes to the casino - I go to the cabin and enjoy that as part as every portion of the ship.
  3. Hi - I have been cruising along since 1989, mostly with RCCL - most recent was May 2014 on Allure of the Seas. If there is anything that I can help with, i.e. new cruisers, etc - feel free to ask. I am a dad of a wonderful 19-yr old special needs young man, a retired police officer, and a battler of cancer (which I find that cruises are therapeutic). I have stayed in an assortment of staterooms from Jr. Suites on down. I prefer balcony on most cruises and am currently a C&A Platinum member about to be raised to Emerald - with my in-laws at Diamond, I am trying to catch up with them as fast as I can.
